17.5 mil for 2 centers is a big pill to swallow for an average at best second line
crosby and geno cost 18.2 mil per - homiedclown
They signed years ago tho. I'm not against trading ROR eventually, but until Mittelstadt or another can claim an indisputable hold on 2C, it doesnt make sense to move him.
Bogo
Moulson
Okposo
Pominville
Gorges
There's over 25 mil in salary that can be gotten rid of. Some easy, some not so much. 15 mill of that is gone in '19 anyway |

It makes a lot of sense to move ROR before his value dips even further....what use is he on a rebuilding club? You can plug in any average nhl player to tie you over for a year or two until there is a suitable 2C, no need keeping a 7.5 million player with trade value. |

I didn't say that. I'd take future considerations or pay picks in the case of Bogo to dump him. Okposo may have some value yet, and he may actually be recovering from his off season problems. 9p in 8g is good.
I'm not saying keep him, but maybe he's Eichels winger next year and he gets 20g 35a and he's more moveable.
Worst comes to worst, I think he's a useful 3rd liner on a Sabres playoff team |

They’ve made the playoffs 2 out of the past 10 seasons. This will be the seventh in a row. This team is garbage run by owners that haven’t a clue. |

this team is terrible, money was no object for scouting and gathering resources to win a cup
this team is not even close 3 years into jack's career to sniff the 8th spot let alone competing
was crosby on a bottom 2 team in year 3, and never made the playoffs?
patty kane?
stamkos?
mcdavid?
matthews?
ovi?
hell hischier?
tim murray had a wet dream with picks, and assets and this is what he gave us, with a crappy team in rochester when he got canned
epic failure - homiedclown
This year is a designed pick early In the draft year. Right from the start.
Next year ullmark , guhle, Middlestadt maybe nylander and our early first will replace :
Gorges/bogo
Kane
Larson/girgs
Lehner/chad ochostinko
Maybe cj or Asplund plan out
I like where we are headed
Ullmark and guhle were 2 of the best sabres last night

yeah, take a look at the garbage on the team, like what jcrag just showed.
They're all guys we traded picks and prospects for in an attempt to rush a rebuild for the glory of finishing with the 8th overall pick. |

then you cut bait with scandella, bogo, beaulieu
get a real second pair d man to go on the second pair via trade, say skid mark and a pick for manson
dahlin-risto
guhle-manson
mccabe-antipin
draft speed for the next 2 years |

he's one of their best d-men on a really good deal. That trade has to be mittelstadt plus. hence the emphasis on draft picks. |

Moulson came with picks and was traded for more picks then signed via UFA.
Okposo was signed via UFA. |

Would you accept this offer if you were a playoff team that had one of the best defensive d-men in the game on a steal contract?
Instant gratification is ruining this franchise |

it's crazy to me that people are still considering Nylander an NHL shoo-in for next year, or any year. He is not producing whatsoever AGAIN in the AHL, and this time with a good team. It's very concerning |

They didn't have to sign moulson to reach the floor. They could have gone another route with 1 or 2 year deals but instead chose to give a leino esque contract.
Okposo's deal is bad cause it doesnt make sense. you dont make signings like that while your core is still incomplete. |
