Well. Someone posted something about Brady being superior the other day.
i found this with a quick search (National post

So, if you believe that and you believe the hype on Dahlin...i think it's a yes. - dbot
Ray Ferraro seems to be pretty high on this kid and he's usually pretty bang on with his assessments so I'd be happy with him. |

Doesn't appear to be any great centers at the top of the draft, although I'm sure there's some somewhere in the draft, so taking Tkachuk at #5 wouldn't be such a bad thing. |

I've been watching some of the highlights on Dahlin, damn that kid looks special. Haven't seen Boqvist yet. - LeftCoaster

this is so stupid, no one has more patience than me, I want a rebuild, that takes patience.
Think of it like this Booner, if I'm building two houses, you're building one for me and Marwood is building the other, Marwood finishes in six months but it took you ten months. Why should I be patient with you (Benning)? Your incompetence doesn't mean I should be patient with you (Benning), it means I should voice my displeasure that you're such an incompetent tit and it's taking you longer that it's suppose to.
I have no issue with what he's doing, I take issue with how he's doing it. They should/could be further along than they are. - LeftCoaster

No question they've assembled some good young prospects, I'm greedy, I just wish they'd have done a few things differently and they had more.
The Gudbranson trade, for instance, never liked it, always said he is what he is. They spent a good young prospect in McCann and a HIGH second round pick for him (33rd) to get this guy and he's added nothing to make the club better.
Now, they've got a chance to recoup their cost with him, if they can get a return, but personally, I'm of the opinion they (Aquilini/Benning) should've concentrated on rebuilding in the 2016 draft not trying to compete.
I guess what I'm trying to say is I'd rather have McCann and that second round pick, who couldn've been one of several good looking young prospects, than have Gudbranson. |

you guys can twist anything! Marwood didn't cut any corners, he worked with the blueprints I provided for him, I procured all the materials, the moral of the story is Booner traded away some good material for what he thought was better material but at the end of the day all his dealing slowed down his progress and that material he traded for turned out to be bad. - LeftCoaster
There's only one house being built. I'm willing to wait longer to have a much better house.
Marwood is building a small house with a massive wood pile. That's what you are going to get. |

Okay but what if they were making omelets and Booner's took 7 minutes to make and it had road kill as the main ingredient and Marwoods took 12 minutes to make but it had hash laced truffles and cooked in a nice brandy ? - VANTEL

Is there really any way that we can catch Arz and Buffalo for race to the bottom?
28 Vancouver 44 GP 40 pts
29 Ottawa 42 GP 39 pts
30 Buffalo 44 GP 31 pts
31 Arizona 44 GP 26 pts
seems hard to imagine. - dbot

IDK who "Uffe" is but didn't say very nice things about EP and his WJC performance. - manvanfan
Uffe Bodin is a swedish hockey blogger and editor of a hockey site.
After seeing your comment, I looked through his tweets and blog posts, and honestly don't see anything that looked negative about EP there. He was less positive in his 8 Jan interview on sportsnet about EP on the WJC:
"strong early, but became invisible a bit when it became physical"
"needs to become stronger before playing in the NHL"
"didn't do himself any favours to be selected to the Swedish Olympic team"
Most of his blog comments appear to be "EP is a star and is likely in the NHL next year, with the Sedins".
--
Personally I thought Pettersson was OK at the WJC, but certainly not the best forward for the Swedish team, or "dominant", especially in the semi-final and final games. Highlight was one very sick goal and one laser wrist shot. I was honestly hoping for more. I thought the chemistry between Nylander and EP was poor. Overall, he looked like he needs to put on more size & strength...maybe another year in the SHL.

Tkachuk is a Lw (I think you know this). I posted Button's next top 10 list like 5 pages back. Barrett Hayton jumped up to 6 on his list and his comparable is Patrice Bergeron. Really Defence/winger depth in the first round. |

Ya that's what I was saying with Tkachuk, just take the BPA and try to get more center/defensive depth in the second round and beyond. |

I saw the "didn't do himself any favours" comment. Just seemed like a guy who was less then impressed.
I would agree he has to get stronger. Somebody should probably feed him a few of Lefty's hot dogs. He's not like Virtanen where if he eats a hot dog he will gain 5 lbs. His body will just use it to build a little muscle. That's pretty much how I bulked up at 18 years old.
They have these kids on strict diets and just tell them to eat more. They all aren't like JV and Man child.
I had a friend who used to play for P.A. Raiders and to bulk up, they had him get up in the middle of the night to drink a protein shake. He never gained any weight till he was 20 years old and not dieting anymore.

Craig's next list. If Van picks 3OA. Where Tkachuk is. Then say 34OA Craig has Jett Woo at 31. I would (frank)en love if he fell to Van in the second. He won't make it out of the first round though.

Confirming report from @Aportzline that CBJ defenceman Jack Johnson has requested a trade. Interesting after listening to John Tortorella say how important #7 was to Jackets in 2nd half of season. |

WTF was SJ thinking in signing Marc-Edouard Vlasic for 8 years at 7 mill AAV. He will be 31 when that contract kicks in.
