I know many here are hoping for a top 5 pick, I just don't see it. Curtail those lofty expectations somewhat, as it will more than likely be a 6-10 range.
This team is a bit better than the performances recently and once Sutter, then Bo return, I expect we will see a few more wins.
Dahlin would be nice too get, but, I just don't see that happening.
Still lots of nice choices in that 6-10 range. |

Brady is the Jake Virtanen of this draft. All brawn no brains.
Truly hope we stay away from him. |

We're still easily bottom three team in this league... wether Bo is back or not. Games get tougher...points more valuable, to playoff teams anyway. Everybody was so quick to judge this team as a bubble team after the quick start , just smoke and mirrors. When the dust settles they will be somewhere in the bottom three again. |

I agree - I think we'll draft 6-10 - so if that happens I'd go with D, Bouchard first over Hughes, Wilde or C, Wahlstrom over Hayton
If Woo or M Samuelsson fell to the early second round, either would be a great pick as well - it would really set up our D for the future.
If we get another 2nd (mid) McShane as a playmaking centre or Durzi as another Offensive D |

NO! I was high on him last season as a mid round first. Now I don't even want him in the second round. Seen him play twice on TV this season and it's like watching Burmy play. |

Read the post...thats how I figure. We've landed there the last two seasons... statistically we were behind last year's pace for points at this time of the season ( I don't know if last night's win changed that or not , haven't checked ) we have no reason to believe that a hobbled Bo Horvat can singlehandedly lead us back from that. This team will only get weaker as the deadline comes....what have they possibly done to show you any different? 3 and 15 last 18 hockey games ! |

Interesti?ng poll going around Vancouver this week. Would you trade Boeser straight up for the first pick?
In other words would you take Dahlin and Tkachuk over Boeser and the 5 th OA? - VANTEL

Really? I didn't get that vibe when I seen him - he seemed stronger on the puck than Burmy |

How easy it is for some to forget. 14-10-4 with a somewhat more healthy line up before mass injuries. As soon as Bo and Sutter come back. That would mean the team could go back to playing .540 hockey. .540 hockey throughtout the season would have Van sitting somewhere around 20th in the league. Do you not think that having Bo and Sutter back in the line up will not help the team? You think losing Vanek and Gudbranson at the trade deadline is really going to hurt the team that much? |

When I saw him. When he had the puck, he was skillful. When he didn't have the puck, an extremely amount of stick waving and floating around. |

So when Horvat returns he's still gonna be hurt & hobbling?? Its a fractured ankle not a severed limb. The 3-15 team is one that didn't include more than just Horvat, it was Sutter, Sven, Guddy and Tanev. The team was slightly above 500 when relatively healthy, so you believe that when Horvat, Sutter return and Chaput, Gaunce, Goldy, Dowd arnt regulars that we're gonna continue to be a 3-15 kinda team? |
