Somehow I was absolutely filthy with Read and Weise in last year's game. Next to Giroux they somehow had the best shots on the team.

lol i often try to be bad with the Flyers and somehow the plugs always stay healthy and score at these obscene rates. Patrick literally NEVER develops for me in that game. it's so frustrating.

I'd like to see how he does next year this time. With a full healthy summer of training, a strong camp etc.
- Hextall271

I’d expect him to come back even stronger with a year of experience under his belt. He’s got the build and I’d imagine it’s just a matter of adding some strength...the skills are there though.

I'll worry about Nolan Patrick when the 13 th pick of the same draft is a superstar. Or if any pick in between 2-13 are superstars etc.
- bird_dog_pa

Same. We we're never getting Nico and really had absolutely zero business getting Patrick. If he eventually develops into a 60 point forward it's a win for me and I think that's very doable for him.

With the way Coots is playing they don't even need to worry about him being asked to be a 1C for a long time.

I think you're right. Strength and for the love of god speed. He's got no first step acceleration. Weal and kony have it but jebus he's slow off the line. Gotta get some strength and a speed burst.

True. Let's hope he's a top 6 forward in a few years. It's good

I've got the Devils feed. Dear lord. Daneykos voice sounds like he's been a chain smoker for 50 years. Listening to his commentary? I swear the guy is baked. He prob just came from the strip joint in Newark I suppose.

Today? Schenn. The next two years? Probably still Schenn tbh. After that? Patrick without a doubt assuming he develops appropriately. I don't think Schenn's style of play it going to be too kind to his body in the long run.

On the first Devils goal, Sanheim looked good, but Gudas is just awful. Forwards defense was pretty awful too, but yikes. I don't think that Morin is anywhere near NHL ready, but he would be an improvement on Gudas.

All foolishness aside, the flyers aren't a contender. Comes down to that. Get St. Louis to overpay for schenn because they're going for it. Get picks, move a guy whose redundant because you have too many centres, open a spot so 14 gets a chance to become a #1c and you move g to wing which has worked. The people who run the org aren't perfect but they're not idiots.

Positive so far: It’s good to see Weal with an assist and it’s seems he’s woken up a bit. They’re gonna need him and other guys like Laughton to start chipping in on a regular basis if they’re going to have any shot at the postseason.

Gudas is frustrating. He can look so solid one game and then just very shakey the next. At least he seems to have gotten a lot of the stupid out of his game finally.
