All foolishness aside, the flyers aren't a contender. Comes down to that. Get St. Louis to overpay for schenn because they're going for it. Get picks, move a guy whose redundant because you have too many centres, open a spot so 14 gets a chance to become a #1c and you move g to wing which has worked. The people who run the org aren't perfect but they're not idiots. - Hextall271
They have a top line with a guy who is a leading Selke Candidate, their Captain back to form and their top winger leading the league in assists. Ghost and Provorov are both having excellent years and Elliot has been very good. In the tight Metro Division, they’re easily still a contender at this point if they continue their play before the bye. |

On the first Devils goal, Sanheim looked good, but Gudas is just awful. Forwards defense was pretty awful too, but yikes. I don't think that Morin is anywhere near NHL ready, but he would be an improvement on Gudas. - hockeyal
wut
Sanheim got turned, lost his stick and took himself out of the play when he tried to pick it up

Ageed. I still get frustrated with the team's inconsistency, but they're on the right path. I'm a year or 3. Wash Pitt and nyr are gonna take a step back. Cooter!!

Why are they looking for make up calls for the devils when they have already had like 6 pps this game. That play from Konecny was not a penalty whatsoever it was a stick lift. The officiating has been terrible so far |

Must of been Gudas fault when Sanheim fell skating forward at red line as well....
Think Gudas has been fine it's Sanheim who is struggling, mind you he's been out of lineup for a bit so have to cut him one slack. |

Ghost is a uniquely talented power play point man, they said. If you substituted Provorov for Ghost on PP1, it will kill that unit. It's definitely not that the other four guys are driving scoring on the unit, they said. |

I bet if you ask cooter, he'd rather go spend the weekend in the Caribbean than at the asg |

Coots is gonna get 40 goals this year if he keeps this up. Our last 40 goal scorer was Jeff Carter, I believe and Coots was acquired in that trade, or at least the pick the Flyers used on him.Holmgren knew all along |

Not even remotely worried about Patrick yet.
Did I think he would produce more offense? Sure. I won't deny that.
But two things.
First, I saw Joe Thornton put up 7 points his rookie season. SEVEN. In 55 games.
As much as people want it to be immediate, sometimes it just isn't. Sometimes, it just takes time.
Second, it's not like he is an all-situations player getting heavy minutes. He's the No. 3/4 center -- Laughton is playing a more important and defined role. Patrick is learning the league and I like what I see, more often than not.
I used to kill Brayden Schenn on the boards, and deservedly so. He was extraordinarily inconsistent.
But skill and opportunity usually equals production. Schenn proves it. Couturier proves it.
Killing Patrick now...just silly, IMO |

I thought Patrick would be better but I think a lot of this has to do with the injuries and adjustment. He should be in the a but obviously that's impossible.

Amazing. He grew up in my province. If I was him I'd head down to cancun. Clean off my best fake teeth and have a time for a few days. |

His injury is the cause I feel , Giroux had no speed last year and had the same injury so it makes sense to me |
