I think (and hope) he meant 3.75 total for 3 years, aav 1.25 per.

Still wouldn't give him a one-way right now.

I wouldn't do anything until the end of the season, but if he comes up at some point and gives them 10+ solid games, I'd give him a one way deal.

At the very least, they hopefully won't re-sign Manning after this season, which will open a spot in the top 7. I can also see them moving another Dman in a deal during next season, especially if Myers can stay healthy and is looking ready.

I thought cause he was a rfa this year we had to sign him to a nhl contract but makes sense. I guess next year his salary will just count the same no matter the league?
- Tfaehner

He's signed to an NHL contract right now but I think you're referring to a two way contract. It's safe to say that Morin will have a one way deal for his next contract.

Looking forward to watching Myers again. Last time I watched I thought the biggest thing he needs to work on is his board work, particularly retrievals and dealing with that forecheck.

There is no way that Morin will accept a two way deal for his next contract. His next deal will be a one way deal.

Hopefully Morin can finish out the end of the year healthy with the Phantoms and really make a case for a call up before the season ends. Sanheim I think can benefit from more top pairing minutes in the A as opposed to swapping in and out of the lineup at 13 mins played a night. He's on too short of a leash for the player he is and I don't think the Flyers have the best team fit for his style/experience at this junction. Morin I feel, can jump in immediately and add grit, toughness, net-front clearing presence as well as stepping up the PK.

considering he is in for Ghost, no, but I am hoping he plays well enough to stay in for someone (most likely Manning) when Ghost is over the flu.

Also will he be in on the PP at all with Ghost out? Will he be on that short leash and relegated to minor minutes and stuck to the bench in the 3rd if it's a close game?

Yup.... one of the most hopeful signs amid many.

Oskar Lindblom is now up to 6th in the AHL rookie scoring race, even despite starting out the season pointless through six games.

Philippe Myers, now that he's healthy, seems to get better each game with the Phantoms and is not at all in a bad midseason spot in light of the nagging injury that bothered him til recently.

Morgan Frost is averaging virtually 2 points a game over the last 28 games (55 points), actually increasing his production while two key teammates (including linemate Boris Katchouk) were away at the WJC.

Wade Allison is looking like a pro-ready power forward as a collegiate sophomore who just turned 20.

Isaac Ratcliffe is not on a very good team in Guelph and is still raw in various ways but, in spurts, you can see all the elements of why the Flyers traded three picks to move and get him early in round 2.

Tanner Laczynski is looking like one of those future pros who can be plugged just about anywhere in the lineup -- with top 9-10 being his norm -- and give you some quality minutes.

If Matthew Strome's feet improve -- still a lot of work to be done there --, the rest is there, including both the hands and hockey sense.

Rubtsov, at absolute worst, is a responsible two-way center. There's more offense there that is capable of being unlocked.

Bill ..Do you think the Flyers would be interested in Tavares? Rarely does that caliber of player become available (not saying he will) but boy would that be sweet

Super excited about all the above.

But he's 6th in the ahl and is extremely responsible defensively yet still sitting with the phantoms. He can have a greater impact on the flyers than 5 minutes a night of ghoul

Yeah as good as he is he doesn't fit with where we are as a franchise and not trying to spend 10 years 120 million on anyone.
