I wouldn't trade tanev for a teams third best forward or a 25 to 31 ov pick. The writer is on crack.
- Pres.cup
Yeah. Consider Hamonic got a 1st and 2-2nds. If it's a late first, I would expect at least two prospects in the teams top 10. or top 5 prospect and another 2nd.
I know. - manvanfan
Look at what Colorado got for Duchene.. basically two 1sts, three 2nds and a 3rd. Id argue that tanev and duchene are about even in talent with Tanev having the better contract. Yes two totally different players a one way center with limited offense vs. a shutdown defensemen with limited offense. Only difference being one is the most overrated player in the league and the other probably the most underrated.
Colorado: OTT 1st-round pick, OTT 3rd-round pick, C Shane Bowers, G Andrew Hammond (from Ottawa); NSH 2nd-round pick, D Samuel Girard, LW Vladislav Kamenev (from Nashville). |

I am keeping an eye on him 3 pts tonight . 5 goals is good for a team that doesn't score
I actually thought Weirchioch had a good camp too. Would love to see someone step up and replace Edler - VANTEL
Im hoping we jump on this trading of defensemen and can bring up both weir and holm if for nothing else just for something different. We cant get any worse. We have the worst record in the league over the past 20 games. |

I am all for giving others a shot. Our Mentors and Shieling Vets stink and doing either one of those responsibilities . Three consecutive bottom 5 finishes agrees with me

I always liked Weirdcoch and think he would be fine as another of our many 6/7 On the roster.
If they were to sign Comrie it would have to be Utica signing for now, doubþ he could make jump to next level, bit why not.
I have followed Cody Golobeuf(Olympic team) and he would be another decent depth guy if we signed him.
We need some depth filler on defense always. |

Even if they sign him for Utica it insolates players down there too. Archibald is a good example of helping on the farm. We have won now 4 of 5 |

I have changed my mind over this season and agree that a 1 year extension makes a lot of sense.
I desperately wanted a change of culture and change for changes sake. Signing UFA's would mean term ie; Loui Eriksson. My only condition would be that Henrik offer the 'C' to Horvat before the season starts. - Marwood

Holm has a shot at Canucks. It comes down to his defending he would be one of the best offensive D . He already was at training camp. It's the defensive side that was an adventure
I honestly think you will see OJ and Holm on the team next year so with Edler Pouliot and Hutton there will be a logjam

I like those kinds of moves. I think having vets on the farm is great as long as the coach still works on developing kids, which im sure is not an issue now like in years past. |

With holm its the smaller ice, things happen much quicker, something to adjust to. |

Holm may have just needed time to adjust to the smaller ice which he should have done by now. I think with his time in Utica he might surprise some people and be a solid bottom pairing guy. |

OJ in Utica to start unless he shines. |

I think he has adjusted. I don't watch the games but I follow every game on Twitter and get just a feel of how things are.
Holm has never been criticized or singled out . He seems to be a 2009 Alex Edler

Chychryn and Sergachev both in the NHL and picked after him and you can add Tkachuk all playing in the NHL. It would look so bad on Benning and Canucks. I have him slotted in with Tanev |

They all had nhl bodies when drafted, we knew oj would take some time, i hope he stats in Utica and forces his way up the depth chart. His skill set is his brain, learning and getting better while those others are more physical and reactionary. He'll be fine. Let's compare in 5 years. |

Then it would be a bad decision by a GM |

I think we can just look at Darnell Nurse. He looks like he is finally showing why Edmonton took him 7OA. Will be 23 years old in a month. 160 NHL games now. Playing really well now. |

I read the post-game write-up over at CA. The guy gives a pretty in-depth and detailed breakdown of the games.
Well worth the read. |
