BS, you threaten to quit HB if they are re-signed. - Makita
I still will. Doesn't mean I hate the Sedin's. I just don't see the point of re-signs guys you can't flip or can't skate. |

We have 4 centers in horvat, sutter, granlund, dowd. 5 if you include gagner. Sedins have been the face of the franchise forever and we owe them so much for what they have done both on and off the ice. But this team isnt going to be winning any playoff ŕounds anytime in the next couple of years. The sedins will just take up 2 roster spots and 20 minutes a night that could be given to anyone. I would rather not see them here next year is all, but i wont cry if they sign one more. - Codes1087
Drop the Sedins. Sign a top 6 forward. Fillthe second forward position from within.
I think we can survive that strategy while the likes of Horvat, Boeser, JV, Gaudette and EP improve their game over the next couple of seasons. There are good prospects outside of that list as well.
JB should seriously try and sign Vanek to another 1 year in the summer if he gets a decent return at the TDL.

We can resign him and trade him a second time... |

We arent contending in the next 3 years. Sedins dont add anything in that time frame. No point in wasting two roster spots on players who should be retiring. - Codes1087
So hey let’s bring in a few more unready prospects and screw their development just so the Sedins are gone. Got it, really great plan, well on second thought at least Vancouver will always pick in the top 5, guess we should always look for the silver lining. |

Again your hate is blinding the fact that they are both putting up points and any over exaggerating doesn’t change that fact. |

I never said anything about unready prospects. People lit torches at the first sight of goldy being sent to utica today but little do they realize he will be playing 22 minutes a night suring the bye week and its good for his development.
Sign some cheap, faster, younger UFAs to fill the hole. Save a bit of cap space. Draft and develop and do things right is what i want. Im in no rush for prospects or a cup |

You said brisbouis, Lind and Gadjovich are better prospects than Gaudette. I respect your opinion but you clearly don’t know what you are talking about - CanuckDon
Actually this is my quote, highlighted Guadette for you this time.

I see you like bottom teams - VANTEL
So you believe that we can
A) sign jvr, hornquist and stone
B) have those contracts not be anchor contracts
C) have those three produce at a similar level as the twins? For around 3-3.5 million each?
So your forward lineup (let's pretend not to worry about the defence or cap hit of those three players who we won't actually be able to sign for reasonable term and cap space) is what?
Jvr Bo Boeser
Sven sutter hornqvist
LE guadette stone
Virtanan granlund goldy
Guance
Sorry but that is a pile of garbage that would cost substantially more and handcuff the team far more then.
Jvr bo Boeser
Sven Sutter granlund
Dank hank LE
Goldy guadette virtanan
Guance or dowd
Both lineups are trash, ones cheaper and could still have jvr plus cap space for a defender or to take a bad contract.
You add jvr and subtract
Yes, I went full booner

Why assume prospects are not going to be ready? Boeser and Horvat were. Gaudette is projecting that way. Goldy could earn a permanent spot by next season.... or not.
I think some players are going to need to graduate/moved from Utica to make room for a burst of young players coming into the system as well. Lind, Gado, Dahlin, Gaudette if he doesn't make the Canucks, OJ, and a few more are all eligible for the AHL and most are going to end up there.

To quote Lefty "not everything is simply black and white" That's why I tried to help you see by using Jagr. 46 points last season. Team's weren't exactly after him over the summer. Now has 7 points in 22 games. Good for almost 30 points over a full season playing 4th line minutes. Now Calgary is trying to get rid of him. Yeah, yeah he's older then them.
He's putting up a decent amount of points for a 4th line player... Why would Calgary want to get rid of him? |

1.25 aav. No points in a while on a deep team. Part of original triplets line. Resign him for cheap later. Fast, young, scrappy, hardworking. If he doesnt workout then trade or waivers. |

The Sedins are not star power anymore. Effective still, yes.
If JB thinks he is getting Kane, it's bye bye Danny and sign/trade for another C probably. Since star power isn't the priority, JB should do well I think. |
