Frost now has a 20-game point streak (16 goals, 27 assists, 43 points). Taking it back over the span of his last 29 games (23g, 34a, 58 pts), he's averaged an even 2.0 points per game. His updated season totals and OHL rankings: 42 GP, 27 G (5th), 44 A (1st), 71 PTS (1st), +50 (1st).

Hey Bill,

Any thoughts on your end as to what type of player Frost could be and how realistic it could be that Frost turns into something special at the NHL level?

Yes, he has a shot at being a very good NHL player. Very high-end playmaking ability and equally high level of smarts. I don't want to pin a "next so-and-so" label on him but will say that I think there a pretty good chance someday he will be used as a comparison player. As skilled and as fast as he is, there's nothing flashy about how he plays. He's surgical rather than spectacular and has an ability to slow the play down . But when he needs that sudden burst of speed or that quick cut, it's there for him almost on-demand. Not a lot of players, especially 18-year-old have those traits.

Vorobyev is a healthy scratch? That’s a bit concerning.

Miss you beauties.

Frost is going to outscore Konecny and Schenn's post draft year OHL #'s.

How sweet it is.

Cheers.

Amazing sports day.

If you take away the 2 eagles turnovers the falcons scored 0 points. Defense looked excellent, offense tired them out with runs and opened it up to win late. They played better than 15 points suggests.

Flyers found a way to win a game that could of gotten away from them early. They stayed fairly composed and came back against a team they rarely beat.

Today is a good day.

Missed most of the first period for obvious reasons but I really liked the overall effort....a few defensive break downs by the usual culprits, but Elliot was there to bale them out.
I liked the one shift benching of Patrick...deserved...the kid handles it perfectly and put together some real nice shifts. You can see that as he gains strength and starts to win this board battles he’s going to be something pretty good.
Gotta say I was pretty giddy after the Birds win....the Flyers just topped of a perfect night.

Agreed....I was impressed by how well they moved the puck most of the night. Travis K may be finding his niche

Players leaping in the air, and into the heads of an opponent, is happening more because of the sissification of the sport ! Instigator rule needs to be gone ! I want players handing out the discipline, not worthless suits.

I've been a Sean Couturier supporter since the kids rookie year. Always thought he'd turn into a perennial Selke candidate who would give you 20-25 goals and 50+ points most seasons. However never, in my wildest dreams, did I think he'd become a guy who could flirt with 45 goals and 85-90 points. This is just amazing.

HMM, in the thick of the race, some break out performances from the vets, seems like younger players are getting better, prospects look real good and they have 10 picks in the upcoming draft.

Add in, does any team really look that much better than the Flyers or is the league just that close?

the Hextall haters, G haters, Jake haters etc, they are awful quiet.

The instigator rule has done nothing but get players hurt. The refs already had the option of giving a roughing penalty to a guy who blatantly started a fight, there was no need to go any further. The instigator needs to go.

Are
the Flyers suddenly going to turn into buyers at the TDL? I wonder what it would take to acquire one of Frost's line mates in the offseason.
