Chocolate chip or bust - jmatchett383
You gotta get a lot further than 12 to earn chocolate chip; so far you barely qualify for oatmeal raisin. |

If it's 5/10 it's much better than Dale Weise. |

Jeez, is he related to Neuvirth?? If it's the same thing he's been dealing with all season, just shut him down and let him get healthy for next year.

I'm assuming it's because they want to ease him back rather than have him play in a b2b right away |

I'd like to see if they could package Filppula (for the cap room) with their 2018 2nd and a good, but not top, prospect to upgrade at center if they look like a solid playoff team come deadline time. However, I doubt it happens - BiggE
Unless they got a center in return, this would leave a huge hole in the roster in the short term. Filppula is the third best center on the team, and the drop off to 4 is pretty steep. Trading Filppula would force moving G back to center, because they could not afford to let Laughton and Patrick have more ice time or take more draws. |

A lot is made of the fact that Ghost is high among the points leaders among defensemen, but all of those points are on the power play, and PP1 seemed to run okay yesterday without him. Some more illuminating stats: Provorov is 3rd among defensemen in even strength goals, and 12th in even strength points. So WHO is the best offensive defender on the team? Turns out, its the guy who also knows how to play defense. |

It looks like the majority of hockey scouts were right and the hot defensive prospects in the Flyers system are Hagg, Sanheim, and Myers. It also looks like Morin playing to give the team a reason why they should resign him. |

Ugh not this again. Please.
I think you'll find most D men with lots of points usually rack up a ton of their numbers on the PP.
Ghost can certainly improve defensively but his size/frame ultimately limits him against bigger forwards. He's never going to play consistent shutdown D in this league. It's just not happening. There are some legitimate gripes to have with this current squad. I just don't understand why you continue to have it in for Gostisbehere. |

That defense is going to eat the Eagles offense alive. Only shot is for our D to do the same thing to their offense and pray for points from special teams/D. |

Wow. Didn't know this. I guess by the laws of hockey we have to get rid of one of them now. |

200ft hockey or gtfo. If there's one thing this team doesn't need it's offense anywhere and everywhere they can get it. |
