When he signed his contract and left college, he was given a development program that he and the Canucks agreed was best for him.
Part of that was that he would be on the Canucks when HE was ready, not when other players or the team was ready.
Breaking agreements like that will travel around the tight knit hockey community very quickly, hurting the çhances of bringing in free agents, other future signings of our drafted college players ie; Gaudette/Lockwood and players from Europe etc.
When the club thinks he is ready, you bring him up and give him opportunities.

Well he definitely a top 6 forward you would hope to get with a 6OA pick. He is a fine 3rd liner that could move up during injuries, and has the potential to be a great linemate for EP.
