Bellows is too good of a prospect to be a piece to take Greiss
I’d say it’s more like:
Lehner for a 2nd
Kane for Bellows & a 1st, plus the conditional
Since that’s a lot for a potential rental,
we will take Greiss of their hands for a little Cap relief to try & sign Kane
I’d do Kane for Bellows & 2nd
Conditional 1st if they sign Kane
Our priority should be to get a Bellows level prospect if possible - jdfitz77
Bellows is just a shade under middlestat in overall value. Would you trade Casey and a 1st or 2nd for Kane if we were in 8th place (2pts from last place in the metro). Hell no. And either would the isles
Speaking of that, how is he an all-star this year? .908 sv%
And people think Eichel was a pity-pick by the NHL - jcragcrumple
Who else are u taking from Montreal instead though?
Galchenyuk is their leading scorer with only 26pts
Maybe Shea Weber?
But then you’d have to take out Hedman (no way)
or Green from Det, but then who do they send?
and what goalie replaces him?

Probably not
But I’m not also desperate to try & keep Tavares
It wasn’t ME who proposed the trade for Bellows
I was just saying we should be trying for that level of prospect
So I see Jake Gillenhal is in place to be the next Batman. This is part of the reason DC keeps failing. First Affleck and now Gillenhal? They just keep making bad choices in their casting (though I will never complain about Gadot.)

Depends. Are we looking for someone in their 40s or 30s? I'd have to think about it. I know I would never have picked those two though. - adambuffalo
Well from the current storyline, they seemed to be going with an older Batman who was moving towards retirement
I didn’t like Affleck when first announced,
but I was fine with his performance once I saw the BvS (which got WAY too much hate, it was fine. I actually liked it)
Gyllenhall is a pretty good actor as well
They could’ve done a lot worse
They probably should’ve kept Batman,
then brought someone in to be Robin/Nightwing & take Batman’s place

Idris Elba for Batman. He would be fantastic and people would freak out/overreact. Win-win

Stupid Daniel Craig with his "will he/won't he" play Bond again stuff ruined my chance to see Elba as Bond because he'll be 55 by the time he gets a chance. He could eeeeeasily be a great Batman

That would just be a stunt though
With them having the Flash be so young,
they do kind of open a door to bringing in Robin to join the group
And maybe some other younger superheroes to kinda take over for Batman & Superman

Cillian Murphy actually auditioned to be Batman but they went with Bale instead. Still they wrote Scarecrow into Batman Begins so that they could still put Murphy in it because they liked him so much.
He'd be decent, but is probably too recognizable as Scarecrow now.

No way. Elba is a fantastic actor and he's played a troubled cosmopolitan bad guy hunter in Luther. They don't even have to explain why he's black now. He's already a billionaire crimefighting vigilante, there's no suspension of disbelief necessary

I can't see it... But I couldn't see Ben as batman either when it was announced.
I was surprised I liked him as batman. I was a fan of Bale as batman from the beginning.
