Just ordered my Amazon fire stick. Ready to cut cable. Just a few questions before doing so.
Can I watch network TV or do I need a digital antenna?
Can you download the MSG app to watch Sabres games?
Is there anything like DVR that I have with cable?
Which apps should I download to get the best movies/ tv shows and what are the costs? I am an Amazon prime member already. - adambuffalo
1. Depends on what local channels you want. I have Playstation Vue for my live tv platform and I get channel 2. I subscribed to CBS All-Access for $5.99 a month so I get channel 4 as well.
2. No. I believe Fubotv has MSG (at a subscription cost) or you would need to do the NHL package.
3. Playstation Vue has free DVR as well as pretty quick on demand access. I tried Sling and Directv Now and although Playstation Vue is the most expensive in my opinion it is the best. But do free trials for all of them to see what you like.
4. I only subscribe to Playstation Vue ($39.99) and CBS All Access ($5.99). Then I download a lot of the channel apps (AMC, History, PBS, FX, etc.) for further content. I'm not saving as much as I want from cutting the cord because stand alone internet is a ripoff but I get so much more content now.
It's just funny that Bale/Keaton/Affleck don't really look alike, but a person of a different race is a bridge too far.
Either way, it's clear that it's a different actor once the movie starts
It's not like being white is central to the character. Being rich/having parents killed is the main premise.
I don't really care either way. it just reminds me of when fox news got mad at black Santa - jcragcrumple
Would it be the same if they made Superman black? Or what if they made the Black Panther white? If they really liked him as an actor, why not bring in a new Green Lantern?

Black Panther wouldn't work with a white guy because the character is built on him being black, or at least African.
Superman, it seems like they've made clear that Krypton is sort of a white people world, so i don't think you could have a black actor there. They would have to start all over with Superman and explain that Krypton had black people.
Batman is perfet because you just insert the guy in there and it makes as much sense as ever

So I see Jake Gillenhal is in place to be the next Batman. This is part of the reason DC keeps failing. First Affleck and now Gillenhal? They just keep making bad choices in their casting (though I will never complain about Gadot.) - adambuffalo

I would argue that they've made it clear that the Wayne's we're white people. Also, there are plenty of white people from Africa.

Based on Buff19’s comment I did some pretty deep research on the kid. I don’t know anything about college football, but I think he is a very high reward 2d rounder, using the 1st rounders to grab outstanding OL or D-lineman.

Every movie where they show the parents die, they're different actors. People suspend their disbelief at that. Why would it be any different if the couple walking out of the show were black instead of white? Literally nothing else has to change in the story.
I guess what i'm saying is, people accept that Batman is a different actor, even when they look totally different (clooney/keaton - not trying to debate the merits of their work), so why would it be any different because a guy has more melatonin in his skin?
