gorges for a fifth, guhle stays - Michael Pachla
When Gorges gets traded, i would rather have Antipin play and keep Guhle in Rochester. Maybe bring Guhle up for the last 5 or 6 games of the season once we have cemented 30/31 in the standings. Keep Ullmark and Guhule as far away as possible form this trainwreck season.

Agree with this 100%...in Nylander's limited action in a Sabres uniform I feel like his style of play seems more conducive to the NHL rather than the much grittier AHL. |

Reinhart was a #2 overall. Nylander was a #8 overall. Say we split the difference an trade them both to whoever has this years 5th overall.

Kane to LA for:
Kale Clague (LD)
Jack Campbell (G)
Cond. 2nd which becomes a first if he signs. - StaziakAttack
so they negotiate with him and tell him to wait till after the draft to sign him so the pick doesn't bump up to first.. unless you are talking 2019 picks |

Right. What's he going to do on the 4th line with Cornel centering? Frigging joke. |

Its like when they were playing Grigerenko on the 4th line...what the (frank) was that supposed to accomplish?? It was my understanding that Nylander was viewed as a pure goal scorer, soooooo why is he not put in a position to do that? If he doesn't have it, he doesn't have it...but put him in an opportunity to succeed rather than making a sniper play as a grinder.
I've always hated that bullpoop "you have to earn a spot on the top 3 lines.." Sure, if you are slacking, or if you just can't cut it, then you shouldn't be on those lines. But to start a player who has never played a grinder role on a grinding line and expect them to "earn their way" up the line progression is (frank)ing stupid. |

Agreed. you have to earn your spot in the NHL. At the AHL, this is a grooming league, so let Nylander's pedigree put him on the top line to succeed and develop. We're expecting him to gain confidence, but how's that going to happen on theth line with Cornel?

As far as I know, Nylander has only played LW. But, I honestly think swaping wings is not hard for players. It's center with all the added responsibilities that becomes an issue for wingers.
Maybe the 4th line demotion is just some form of tough love, coaches way of telling Nylander to get his ass in gear already. |

Like everyone said, when someone isn't doing well, it seems kinda dumb to say "You're on the 4th line, and you're not a LW anymore. Start scoring some goals"
Maybe they don't want him to score though, maybe they want him to learn defense |

Could be. I wish the team, or Baker, or someone in the media would give the fans an update on this kid's progress. What's his NHL timetable? What's his issues? |

Baker has been saying to remain patient with his development. I’m sure the injury didn’t help matters much either. |

No apology necessary. I'm just ticking away the moments that make up the dull day
Proposing trades on this site is just a way to fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way - jcragcrumple
....you are young and life is long, and there's always TIME to kill today. Then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told when to run, you had missed the starting gun. You try and you try to catch up to the sun, but it's sinking. Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older. Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.
Probably the wisest lyrics ever written. |

Nylander is soft he doesn’t like to get the the hard areas of the ice. He gets pushed out of the way..he not using his speed to carry the puck either. (Maybe due to injury?). Fasching looks faster in this game than he does. |

Agreed. But, we don't need Nylander going into the dirty areas, we have enough grinders for that. We need a sniper, someone who can actually handle one of Jack's setup passes and put the biscuit in the basket. I'm okay with Nylander doing nothing but putting pucks in the net, let a guy like Fasching dig the puck out of the corners. |
