Agreed. But, we don't need Nylander going into the dirty areas, we have enough grinders for that. We need a sniper, someone who can actually handle one of Jack's setup passes and put the biscuit in the basket. I'm okay with Nylander doing nothing but putting pucks in the net, let a guy like Fasching dig the puck out of the corners. - sskkoo1
Guys like Gilbert Perreault, Mike Bossy and Rick Middleton had very successful careers in the NHL and they weren't known for their corner/grinding skills. I agree - put Nylander in a position to succeed. Play to his strengths. Let Girgs, Fasching and others dig for the puck.

Ek has the price on Kane is "mighty high" or the deal would have been done by now.
interesting. - thatsapickle
We should get a poopload I'm hoping I'm not going to be disappointed where we wait till the last minute and end up with just the first round pick |

I meant dirty scoring areas... and I agree with you.. I just don’t see it. This is the 5th game i’ve Watched.... he just not noticeable, with his speed you would think he would stick out. He dosent.

Waiting until the last minute blew up in GMTM face almost every deadline. GMJB has time to wait, but I'd rather have him set the market, than wait until deadline day to move Kane.
Right now, it seems like the price is a 1st, a prospect, and a 3rd. If he can move kane for a 1st and a good prospect, do it now, a 3rd isn't worth that much. And, if we need to retain some of Kane's salary to make the deal happen, do it. |

Yeah except those guys could actually play... how bad of a commentary is it that we have to put Him into a position to succeed?
By the way he is on the 2nd ream PP |

I like the greed, but I'd be thrilled if JB could get Theodore or Larsson straight up for Kane. I think he'd have to add, and I'd be fine with that. |

I've heard his injury was a groin injury, maybe that's still lingering. |

How about if we wait too long and he breaks an ankle and we get nothing?
Trade him right (frank)ing now. Not worth the risk imo. |

JB probably has a certain line he wants the offer to be above.. as soon as it gets to that point the trade is made. it may be a moving line that gets lower as you get closer to trade deadline. at least that is how i would do it |

The last top 6 forward we moved before the deadline was Vanek and that worked out fabulous |

Those who set the market usually get the greatest return for their UFA. GMJB shouldn't wait, if he's getting serious offers, stay on the phone until the deal gets done. |

We had "do something" Darcy
and
Murrancy, Tim Murray always gets his man
Hopefully this deadline brings a snappy name for Botterill |

But I am expecting a jackpot type deal for us
And maybe Robin gets us a 2nd but I'm expecting a Third
And a conditional second if he makes the playoffs etc |

I just want that one really good piece (like Larsson from Anaheim, or Theodore like u said) & then whatever else is added is the cherry on top
If that means we don’t get a 1st,
then I’m ok with it
Idk if it’ll work out that way
But it’s my preference to get the best player available
So maybe a guy like that, and a conditional 2nd that becomes a 1st if Kane re-signs
I’d be cool with something like that |

Guhle and fasching have been the most noticeable players so far. Both playing with speed. Fasching is a big boy, he gets a lot of space because of his style of play.
Guhle is all over the ice.... |

Fasching is playing with speed?
That’s good
If his skating has continued to improve, then he can definitely be an NHL player
He’s got the size & skill to score near the net...
skating was his issue that I saw |
