What's Canucks win loss record with him in/out of the line up - VANTEL
Just my opinion, but that entirely depends on who's in the lineup with him when he plays. |
|
|
|
No.
I've said like 10309282 times this year that I'd prefer to move on from all 3.
I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy in wanting a slug back. Why not move on from all 3 and establish a new play style? A roster with Eriksson, Vanek, Gagner, Sutter as the vets up front doesn't really scream fast and hard to play against to me. That's one-third of your forward group. - Nucker101
I didn't say you wanted the twins back I said most posters on here want them back .
I pointed out your reason for not wanting Vanek back and was stating What's good for one should be the same formula they should also apply to the twins

That's exactly the point im trying to make to Booner so thank you
Say no to the one dimensional slugs. Vanek needs sheltered mins and PP time to be effective, rather see a young player get those minutes.
I'm not a Sutter fan but even I can appreciate the fact that he can play a checking role and PK role.
Having a roster with vets that needs easy minutes to be effective is not how you insulate youth.
Guys like Sutter, Tanev and Edler can play the hard minutes. |

Nah, outside of the LE contract, things are okay. Sutter contact sucks too.
I meant back when the team was a contender and you were unhappy with the roster and seemed to have little faith that that core would ever make a scf, let alone being 1 win away from winning it all. A lot of us were unhappy with the drafting and developing by Gillis/AV lol. And very few were defending moves like the Derek Roy trade so go ahead and revisit those moves.
You still think my trolling the past was legit so I don't think you can even go back into the past and accurately depict my positions. - Nucker101
I was happy with many of Gillis' moved leading up to the SCF season in 11. I was *the* early Gillis defender when the whole place came after my head when Nonis got fired. I battled the Nonis faithful for a couple of seasons at least. It was they who got on board later...lol. Don't try and sell me having some criticisms as.... what ever it is you are trying to sell here. Me totally rejecting Gillis came later...
What was your account name again before 2010?
I'm just playing back with you. I know you were trolling back then. You are pretending or convinced otherwise. I always criticised you for *what* and *when* you did it. You continue to make that accusation pretty much every other month. I think you are taking it more serious than anyone. Let it go or just laugh at it.
Can't even figure out why you have been pressing me so hard since you came out. I'm not one of the people who's made you the new laughing stock around here. I haven't been smug about you separating yourself from many of the things you argued in the past. That's changing if you want.

He missed a large chunk of games while Horvat and/or Tanev were out so I don't really care.
He's a 3rd line winger who can take faceoffs. Guy is a black hole for his wingers. 4.5M for a 3rd line W who can take faceoffs and play on the PK isn't the end of the world, but it's not good either.
LE contract is the one that really hurts. - Nucker101
Dorsett was the leading scorer before he retired. I believe he played on Sutters line.
If you are expecting pretty passes your dreaming. If you drive the net (Something no Canuck has done since 2011) there are plenty of Sutter rebounds

I don't care about small sample sizes, throughout his career his wingers have struggled to produce with him, a 15 game Dorsett hot streak doesn't change that for me.
I respect Sutter for what he provides, I think he's overpaid and not a tough player to play against it, but he can handle tough minutes and can provide secondary scoring. Again 4.5M for him isn't the end of the world. To me he plays offense like a 3rd line winger.

I know, he said he's open to brining back Vanek and thinks he can potentially be flipped again, twice in a row lol.
I say no. |

Drunk on optimism because you think we might be able to trade Vanek two deadlines in a row.
Nuck4U is more likely to likely to get along with everyone then that is of happening - Pres.cup
It's all about ifs... if he brings in a pick 3 or better... I would make the attempt, yes.
Shovel some more drama and exaggerations onto that statement. My opinion is just too vanilla on this for it to be entertaining otherwise.

Sutter is suppose to be a third line winger but he doesn't set the roster. It is not his fault the team needs to use him as a second liner

Keep in mind Toronto traded the same guy twice but I forget who it was maybe Polak |

I think it was either him or Winnik, but those are guys who provide value outside of scoring. Those are the king of guys who are easy to sell since they easily fit into any lineup. |

Yes, this.
Then we can have a third line of erikson, Dowd and virt. Makes a great deal of sense to me, although i fear what our fourth line will look like.
Filled from within. No unproven rookies who dont require waivers unless they force there way onto the team
THAT means they arn't being penciled in but might push a player onto waivers.
Sven bo Boeser
Gagner Sutter granlund
Eriksson Dowd virtanan
Goldy. Guance Chaput
Magna
Whatever way you mix that up it is a hot mess. No thanks. Keep the twins, trade Vanek. Megna and Chaput can stay in the minors
Sven bo Boeser
Goldy Sutter virtanan
Dank. Hank. Granlund
Eriksson. Dowd. Guance
Anybody
Tell me which team is going to win more games.
And no magical bean player that is better and will take less money (personally I'd pay Kane 6x6 and push guance out of the line-up).
You get better by pushing players down the line-up not by making lateral moves. - Pres.cup

you'll get scraps. maybe like a 4th or another prospect in a similar boat(AHL star that can't crack the NHL and is waiver eligible next year) |

Trade MDZ bring up Holm - VANTEL
Hope he gets a look down the stretch. Pouliot as fallen off and Stecher/Hutton have taken a step back since solid rookie seasons. Team needs some offense from the back end. |

Megna can slides right in then even better for the post Sedin year
The second lineup has him 2lw, we can slides Kane and his 6x6 into that slot. |

I don't believe it's likely to happen, even if we get a 3rd round pick for him. Why try to resign him? You trade him next year? That's what staggered contracts are for. Trade expiring contracts for picks, keep roll players and those willing to sign under market value until the kids are ready.
You know, sometimes I doubt that you even NHL11 man: no: |

Henrik is the more valuable of the 3. We need another centre next season for sure.
What are we getting at the deadline for Vanek MDZ and Gudbranson? |
