I don't believe it's likely to happen, even if we get a 3rd round pick for him. Why try to resign him? You trade him next year? That's what staggered contracts are for. Trade expiring contracts for picks, keep roll players and those willing to sign under market value until the kids are ready.

Hope he gets a look down the stretch. Pouliot as fallen off and Stecher/Hutton have taken a step back since solid rookie seasons. Team needs some offense from the back end. - Nucker101
Before you mentioned about slow forwards but having someone who can carry the puck up ice can neutralize that. Getzlaf and Joe Thorton are not fast but do quite well because the puck is not in their end.
Stecher so far is the one with the most puck movement but as you said Hutton Pouliot are all the same.
Just keep on upgrading. Find their replacements. Let's see if Holm is better than MDZ. Hopefully Boqvist will be better than Stecher |

Yes, we're keeping Henrik and letting the other 2 walk. - Nucker101
You're (frank)ing crazy.
We have enough center depth but we are lacking LW snipers.
We're signing Dank and letting the other two walk. |

Right now there's too many eggs in the OJ basket. Gonna need to keep adding more talent in the pipeline to push these guys out. Would be nice if Holm isn't another Larsen and can actually produce from the back end. |

He missed a large chunk of games while Horvat and/or Tanev were out so I don't really care.
He's a 3rd line winger who can take faceoffs. Guy is a black hole for his wingers. 4.5M for a 3rd line W who can take faceoffs and play on the PK isn't the end of the world, but it's not good either.
LE contract is the one that really hurts. - Nucker101
I thought Sutter was a Center not a Winger. |

Yeah, his passing is really good. He's also smooth as butter on the PP. Not really a guy who carries the puck up the ice though. Hopefully his defense and pivoting when skating is improving. Sounds like it has. |

But seriously, this team doesnt have "enough" anything. Even the ahl team is shallow. - Nucker101
Our nhl team is 25 percent ahl caliber
Or AHL team is 50 percent echl caliber
Lefty barely got cut from our ECHL team
It's ugly bad.
That's why i am ok with resigning the twins for 1 year deals below market value.
Sure it'd like it if Taveres and Kane decided they'd come play here for 10 million combined... but its not happening.
By keeping the twins here hopefully we force some depth onto the comets and down the line.... lefty won't be in danger of a call up. |

says the guy who wants to trade a player, sign him and then trade him again - Nucker101
If he lands us a good pick I would kick tires on the same deal for sure. It's only a phone call... lot's of room for kids and maybe adding a young free agent as well.
Look I can play your game too....
This coming from a guys who wants to resign the Sedins and take two spots from our kids and get no picks back guaranteed.
Now commence to correct me like I'm doing to you...lol.
Let's be accurate here, if this contract works out for us, I would give it another shot. If it doesn't, I wouldn't.
I don't want the Sedins. Nothing says moving on more than ACTUALLY MOVING ON.

Turning Vanek into another pick is crazy laughable but you spent the other day arguing with everyone about JT signing with the Canucks.

Vanek and Guddy moved for picks prospects.
Not flashy.
No unproven rookies (because they're all going to Utica).
Edit. Actually, i dont know where we'd finish, but then we can talk about OJ, Pettersson, Dahlen and Gaudette, as well as Tkatchuk making the club. |

When he sits in the pressbox injured 30 games a year he's technically on the wing. |

When's the last time a player had been traded twice in a row at the TDL by the same team?
Maybe Booner just wants his boy Benning to make history. - Nucker101
Let's talk drunk on optimism and who's boy is who... Your quotes to follow....
If JB thinks they can still play then so do I. We’ll see what he thinks.
If that’s what JB thinks is best then so be it.
I’m gonna trust JB and see how he handles it.
None of us are qualified to say what’s right and wrong
If JB likes him then so do I, if we don't place a claim then he's likely a scrub.
I know I preached wait and see back when JB was new... never went down this road like you though... I'd never go full nucker... you never go full nucker. |

After all of that getting rid of players gets us picks but what garbage will replace them & why?
Its so easy for ppl to say Sedins retire & get of this guy or that but do u see many ppl coming up with who will play instead? |
