I'm a huge Bills fan. Been going to Sabres games for years. I love Buffalo and defend the city all the time. I am critical of Garth's silly over hyping, overrating Sabres talent. They hired GMTM. He was a colossal failure, yet Garth defended him until the end. Then threw him under the bus when he was gone. I don't think hiring another rookie GM is a good move.

The Maple Leafs sure do not look good right now. Nylander and Marner have seemingly regressed. Others are playing below expectations. They have failed to develop their defense. Outside of Dermott, I'm not sure what is in the pipeline defensively. But I do have faith in the HHoF caliber coaching and management. Protecting young players

I will never understand why so many Sabres fans, who have been given horse crap over the last 4-6 years and continue to say it tastes like pumpkin pie. Nothing will change in Buffalo until fans wake up. Call me a hater, if you want. Your team is still in 30th place and your best player and goalie appear to to be leaving for fifty cents on the dollar

I'm not unrealistic about this team, they're terrible, and have been for a long time. Some talent is now in place, but so is a losing culture unfortunately. I have some optimistic faith that the new GM can turn things around, but I'll wait to see more, so far the moves he's made have been pretty good, picking Mittelstadt seems to be a homerun.

As for Garth, he's a joke, always has been. He has nothing original to write about so he makes up stupid one-sided trade scenarios, and his refusal to proofread isn't doing him any favors. But, for the most part, everyone started ignoring his blog more than 10 years ago, except a few. There are a handful of people here who consistently wait until Garth posts something and then they themselves bring their incoherent bias, and straight-up hatred to his blog. So, I have to ask, if these people hate Garth so much, the Sabres, and Buffalo, then why are they always the first posters in Garth's blog everyday? They certainly dedicate an awful lot of themselves to Garth.

You said it right there "a culture of losing". I also feel the team has failed to insulate #15. Too much ice time, too much responsibility, too much pressure on a young player. The players who should be the leaders like Okposo, Gorges and Pominville are now bit players. You can't lead in the pressbox or on the bench.

So, it sounds like the Pens are definitely going to push for Kane....not sure if I want them to but when JR targets someone....he usually pushes to get his man. Jordan Staal in Carolina, Kessel in Pittsburg.

It seems like the pens might be looking to move Sheary for Kane. Sheary was really good last year and is still doing decent this year despite being moved all over the place. He's 25, extremely fast, battles hard, and with PP time will easily put up 20-25 goals a season. Kane's better, but Sheary's locked up nicely for 2 more years at 3 mil each. Pens would probobly throw in a pick, but he's a Botts guy too.
