This is all kind of weird with Benning for sure. All the silence after the family stuff, no comments or public talks. I thought for sure he was going to be signed (and I'm leaning towards giving 2 more years to him). Now, it sure looks it's a new direction, again. |

I think it's time for a new canuck sweater. Nothing says new direction more than a new look. |

Yeah, that's the next big fight we should have on these boards... what logo should be on the jersey instead of the poopted out sperm whale with Vancouver on the front. |

The way I see it we will be good again in a few years, all this complaining about should have done this should have done that will be history, you can say that about every team. The aquilinis are businessmen and they want to make money, just let hockey people run the team and stop meddling which I think they finally have but who the hell knows. |

I like the "soft as butter" leggings logo myself.
Unfortunately I am to stupid to be able to post it

Leggings - a fashion trend that will never grow old. God bless spandex. |

Thanks Carol,
I agree that Holland would not be the best choice as GM going forward. Let's hope Benning is back for 3-4 years and the Sedins are signed for another one year contract.
It's obvious that the mentoring of Horvat and Boeser is paying great dividends, so one more year to keep mentoring and showing the NHL prospects what's needed to compete every game. |

I've met him and played golf with him, his ego is beyond massive and tied to the team doing well both on ice and financially, no way can he resist meddling at all. The only way I see him being hands-off is if he buys the BC Lions and spends his energy trying to make that a winning franchise. |

If this is not sarcasm then what the (frank) are you talking about?
I've seen less "compete" out of the twins this season then any other. They shy away from contact more this season then any other and there has been some glaring times where it's resulted in a goal against.
Flybys.
Stick waving at puck and player.
No back checking whatsoever.
Stupid, lazy penalties.
Even their cycle games has lost creativity.
For guys who are supposed to lead by example (and not their locker room presence) they sure are setting a poor example. |

Tough to win consistently in this league, the young guys are learning it takes time |

Before Bo gets back, I hope we are able to make a trade. Don't want to risk losing Chaput on waivers, that would be bad "asset management" |

I'd give Benning a 2 year extension
He wasn't great at first, but I don't think he had the green light for the full rebuild. And the players he drafted aren't playing yet, so what was really expected?
Team is much improved (at least to watch, especially given their injuries) than either of the past 2 seasons. - TheGame316

It's so bad that if my desktop changes its appearance or layout for whatever reason I'm (frank)ed for hours. |
