I agree, they are fine on our team because we have low expectations and nobody else but I don't think they belong in the playoffs at this stage. Time to retire fellas, thanks for the fond memories

To a team that has a lacking PP and lacks some scoring and is comfortable in giving them limited minutes and high ozone starts. They could be use to a select few teams in the playoffs. A team that doesn't have anything better.

Last season Columbus PP had 5 players with over 30 points. This season currently on 2 players on pace for over 30 points.

I think you look at a team like VGK and NJ. Dank and Hank would be like 6th in scoring on VGK and 2nd and 3rd on NJ. It's really not about the numbers anymore if it isn't done with speed.

Look at Jagr 46 points last season. Would of had 30ish points this season playing limited minutes in Calgary over an entire season. Now being sent away.

The game has just passed them by.

I agree to an extent. I still think they have value in a 3rd line, sheltered role + 2nd unit PP for a good team that needs more offense.

I don't think their useless to all playoff teams like some are suggesting. Carolina is one of those teams, really solid defensively, have a bunch of two-way forwards, but they lack offensive creativity and could use a couple of PP players for their 2nd unit.

You mentioned Columbus, and I'd agree with them as well. Their PP is terrible this year and they have a strong defensive team that can free up easy minutes for the Sedins and let them produce to help out guys like Panarin. Look at their forward's point totals outside of Panarin, it's basically like the Canucks.

Those are 2 teams that jump out at me, the rest are definitely debatable.

Now would they waive to play on either team? Probably not, so this discussion is kinda pointless lol.

Ohhh Carol.... why did you have to stoke the trade the Sedins at the deadline fires ? I thought we'd all finally accepted the grim reality that we were stuck with them. Now hope springs eternal once again....

This is how things ultimately plays out, imo.

1. Sedins not going anywhere.
2. Healthier Canucks go on a winning streak which will put us outside the Top 5 picks at the draft.
3. Benning gets an extension

No.... we have zero to gain from a Sedin trade. It would need to be a miraculous counter offer to even consider it and no one is going to tear up the core of their team for 6 weeks of Sedinery.

Averything but the bottom 5 thing. We have lots of Ducks, Sharks, Kings and Flames who will rip us a new one every night.

He has regressed but he still has a role on the team. No reason dumping him for a 5th

JB just getting him for cheaper on the next extension. 2.6 for 4 years. His point totals are on a slower pace then last season but he also has a new role this year. A role that he really isn't suited for. Can play it but he'd be much better with a more middle 6 scoring role. Some PP time not PK time.

Sounds like a bunch of lame excuses.

He’s a steaming pile of poop on the PP.

In his Canuck career his 82 game pace is 29.5 points playing almost 17 mins per game.

He sucks just like half of the forwards on this roster. Not a long term piece.

Call me a realist but really I can't expect every single forward on every single team in the league to be the best player at that position. I will take a 30 point forward that is young, year after year after year then a few more years after he is resigned.

Just look at Cogliano. 3 years 3.25... coming off a 4 year 3 million. 30 year old with a career avg of 32 points.

Half that, 1.3 per.
