Still think he can be a solid guy for us,
but idk if he’s ever gonna develop into the player i thought he would

Talented guys who struggle could still develop as our team improves though

Hockey family bloodlines don't seem to work - see Strome brothers, Nylander brothers, Reinhart brothers, etc. Stay away from Tkachuk if given the chance to draft him or one of the Euro's. I would rather have the Czech or Russian than Matthew Tkachuk. With out luck, we would draft Tkachuk and he would become our Keith Gretzky.

Interesting logic....Hull, Howe, Suter, Stastny...there's a lot that have worked out well.

Tk looks like a top 6 lock and looks NHL-ready. I understand the apprehension, but neither Sam nor Alex were physically ready to play in the NHL, and many would say they still aren't. Crouse jumped in the draft because of his size, but there were always skill/speed concerns.

I'd be thrilled to walk away with Tk. There's a good chance he's taken before we pick, so we may not even have the chance.

Fastest skater in the draft class, offensive skills are unquestioned. Defensive play worries me and I’m sure it would worry other teams as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he fell like Lijegren did last year and get picked in the 12-15 range

I think Bode Wilde stock is going to rise by draft time, too bad he'll fall into that sweet spot where are pick will be to high to take him, but any possible 1st we get after our firesale will probably be past where he'll go.
