I wouldn't mind another 1st and taking Veleno mid draft. Bouchard with our 1st(unless we win Dahlin or Boqvist) and Veleno with a second 1st. - Retinalz
NO to Veleno - been dropping all year. Decent numbers but nothing special. But mainly bcus if you look at the kids that come out of the Q and are successful, its usually surefire ones that were drafted high 1st round and completely dominated. Very rarely does a late 1st, early 2nd get drafted and surprise anyone.
Hard YES to Bouchard, kids been climbing all year, even through the Knights gutting the team, he's having a hell of a season. Well rounded, great size, offensive minded, been my choice from the beginning of the year. |

First of all we have very little to trade to ever get a first in return. Secondly not many teams are offering up their first round picks - VANTEL
Sell the farm!! Move sutter, tanev and sven with gud, mdz and vanek. I want them to fully load up on picks this year.
Can fill holes with free agency like they did last year except we have oj, petterson and gaudette coming. |

geez talk about wanting a HJ. I guess you are part of the circle-jerk now? - neem55
Why would I want a HJ when I can just come to you for a BJ?

I do like Veleno in the 15 to 20 range. But you did make a good point about the Q. |

Lots of NCAA Free agents. I'm hearing the #Canucks have interest in Quinnipiac defenseman Brogan Rafferty and Princeton forward Max Veronneau who has been nominated for this year's Hobey Baker award - VANTEL
If we can land Brickley I am happy. Add the RHD from SHL that people are talking about and I will be pumped. Even the LHD from SHL will do |

I can think of one good reason. Not that there's anything wrong with that (insert Jerry Sienfeld voice). |

These are the types of free agents im all for signing.
Does anyone know if the CHL has anything decent this year? I havent looked in to it yet. MacEwan was a good signing. |

Yup! Too bad we didnt land him last season. I know they were trying, Im kinda surprised he went back to school with all the offers he would have got. I think he could probably slide in to the line up right away and maybe even top 4 by the end of his first season. He will be good. |

Yeah - I think guys like Mantha, Barbachev and Beauvillier drafted 20-33 range are good examples of dominating in Jr and so far, being able to make the jump but other than that in the past 5 years or so, its slim. |

Back when the Canucks were contenders players like Erat, Konpoka, Campoli started bidding wars.
Canucks caught on the wrong side of time |

We've been saying this every year, but outside of the Kesler trade that Benning was forced to mistake, he hasn't acquired one and to be fair, he hasn't really had the assets to acquire one. Realistically you can hope for a 2nd from a Gudbranson deal and a mid round pick from Vanek, but that's about it. And that's assuming that the Canucks actually want picks and not prospects.
They targeted prospects at the TDL last year. - Nucker101
Hard too say, we won't know until TDL. I also wouldn't mind Merkley late in the 1st. |

I mean no one has landed him, so as long as they had some solid preliminary talks another year of developing in the NCAA was probably good for him. |

Ehlers looked pretty dangerous last night. Too bad the Canucks don't have big guys like his current line mates, Little and Perrault to allow him to play well.
Good thing it's 2018, not 1998. |

True. Now it's, are they dangerous enough scoring threats to not allow defenders to double team instead of big guys out there causing havok. I do enjoy the havok method though |

Perrault is 188 and Little is 190 - Ehlers is pretty much the same size as Pettersson (given EPs last weight in he was 170) |
