You're writing in all caps and telling me to "stop posting nonsense"
I'm also not spinning numbers.
Kane averages 19 goals and 17 assists per year. He has been better in the past 18 months. That's also true. I'm pointing out that it's an incomplete narrative.
It's like saying he has 3 points in his last 12 games. It's true, but it's also true he was lighting it up before then.
This season is a mirage IMO, and a GM would be crazy to trade or pay him like a 60 point guy when he has literally never hit that mark.

I don't really care about this debate, but you are spinning facts. Injuries are part of the game, but shouldn't be a predictor of the player being injured in the future. Meaning you have to take Kane's gpg, apg, and pgp, not just the totals. That's not using a great argument. He actually has 26.12 gpg/82, 24.62 apg/82, 50.73 pgp/82

Would the same benefit of the doubt be given to Bogosian in regard to injury? Past injury history is a good indicator of future injury, at least in my anecdotal opinion.
Pominville has had a remarkably injury-free career.
As Kane approaches 30, his injuries will likely continue - again, they don't have to - unless he changes his style of game, which would be bad for him and whichever team signs him |

if Pominville had an ounce of passion in his loins, it would kill him...he's as vanilla as they come |

Some past injuries MAY be a indicator to future injury, while others, such as bone breaks actually grow back stronger, meaning less likely for future injury. Like I said, and I'll say it again. using /82 (With a large enough sample size, which Kane has) is the best metric of a player not raw totals, and should be used in your argument. Instead of saying he doesn't score 20 per year, just say he isn't scoring 30 a year like the counter argument claims. Makes your argument stronger. Also Kane is in his 20's for 3.5 more hockey years. Kinda a stretch |

No disagreement from me there.
But when a player misses at least 10 or 12 games for the majority of a career, shouldn't that be an indication that it will continue? Kane could buck that, of course. He and Bogosian are both hurt a lot, though.
I think Kane gets the benefit of the doubt because he's better than Bogosian.
For the record, i like Kane, i really do. The sabres will miss his toughness and speed It's just that the past year and a half have inflated his value to highs that he hasn't yet achieved. |

All of what I'm saying, what you're saying, and what Homie said contains pieces of the puzzle., but we're all emphasizing different parts. He's a good player, and maybe he will consistently hit hit the highs, but he hasn't done it yet. If he had 3 seasons of 30 goals, or at least 1 season of 60 points, i would be more inclined to have faith in his future production

Ek is saying that teams will pay more for Kane if the deal happens sooner than later.
Let's get the best offers in, and make the deal before this road trip is done.
If Kane is some how a healthy scratch tonight, that could be very telling. |

Why would they pay more, makes no sense. Doesn't matter if it's deadline day or before, Botterill is going to make the best deal for the Sabres. EK says 3 teams, well it's more then 3 teams. Problem is for some teams, they can't take him on. EK says the Kings are back in it, well they were never out of it in the first place neither are the Pens. |

Great write up :
Pommers lack of agression definitely leads to lack of injuries . You can depend on him to line up and play, every game. Like him or not.
Bogo is not good at hockey and it's a fact that he is injured constantly.
If your a general manager and you trade for bogo and turn a blind eye to his injuries, you are not doing your job properly.
Kane has an injury history. Is he more likely to get hurt than pommer?
PROBABLY , weather kane's broken rib grew back stronger or not.
His style is reckless and all out. That's what we like about him. |

Is it kane's salary or the asking price that prevents the other 3 teams from being included?
If it's salary, sounds like waiting until the deadline would involve more teams. Which would drive up his price. |

He's looking for 7 mill a year for next contract but that isn't an issue as of now, unless we eat some of his money and I was told they would rather not do that unless the deal was more in our favor. A couple teams can't fit him right now. |

- My answer is Tim Connolly. Has nothing to do with lack of aggression. You don't need aggression to be a good NHLer.
Bogo is not good at hockey and it's a fact that he is injured constantly.
He's a decent middle dman, but yes, he's always injured.
If your a general manager and you trade for bogo and turn a blind eye to his injuries, you are not doing your job properly. - who said anything about Bots turning a blind eye to anyone on this team regardless of who the player is, he wouldn't be doing his job, whether that be Eichel, Nolan or anyone in between. |
