The question is- when the Hall of Famer Kane gets enshrined, is it in a Sabre Jersey?

He can't get in, a guy named Myers is holding up the line.

I like combining eye test and the raw numbers. Check those stats to see what's going on and then check out his play to see why.

That's why I'm over kane. The effort is there, but what is it producing. So he works really hard to recover the puck that's great...but then he immediately takes the puck and shoots one high and wide from 40 feet out. Get my drift?

Im joking about Sam. If we pay him more than 2.5 per I quit
- lulags

Good number for Reinhart but IMO it may be a little higher if he's here.

This is the crux of my argument. This year is an outlier in terms of games played.
- jcragcrumple

09/10
First injury - Broke foot while blocking shot (IMO fluky) 15 games

10/11
Second - hit by shot in foot (again fluky) 2 games
Third - Arm injury (Idk) 1 game
Fourth - Lower body (Idk) 4 games

11/12
Fifth - Concussion - (Idk) 8 games

12/13
None

13/14
Sixth - Broken Hand (Punching helmet in fight, His aggressive fault) Undisclosed amount of games for this but 19 total in the season
Also healthy scratch for coaches reasons

14/15 Lower body injury
Seventh- Shoulder Surgery (His style)
Also healthy scratch for coaches reasons: Half the season

15/16
Upper body injury - If I remember correctly, this was still from his shoulder surgery?

16/17
Eighth - Cracked ribs (His style) - 11 games
1 game for Illness.

As I see it, and this is just me, the bulk of the time came from shoulder injury, with a couple of fluky plays (Puck on foot being extremely fluky, costing him 17 games. Yes his style of play may lead to injuries, but as I can see, it's really only caused two major ones in the ribs and shoulder, causing the most time that he's missed.

A team already offers us 2 firsts

But he stinks

This actually happened?
Jbotts must really be looking for an nhl player if thats the case.

GMTM would have already traded Sam and a 1st to Ottawa for Mike Condon

For Kaiser
@Senschirp
Colin White is noticeable every time he's on the ice tonight. Seems to be gaining confidence with each game. #Sens

That's fine, I just think that it's not the best way of looking at it, and honestly it's probably from my background in the numbers field. Again, I don't care if they trade him or keep him, and I got a little off base with trying to figure out why he's been injured, but my point is that I would label him a 25 goal scorer that works pretty hard and gets in the dirty areas to score as well as punish people with hits. It might be just because he's a throwback kinda player that people like when all the fancy stats are taking over. I think there's actually probably room for both schools of thought, but like I said my background can make me one sided.

People have hated him since he got here,if he didn't have that incident before we would here nothing. Botterill has had offers, just nothing he thinks will help.
- SABRES 89

He doesn't want to take the two 1st rounders that Homie just pointed out?

So he's expecting more than that?

How much truth is there to that? Was it a first and a conditional 1st if he signs?

I didn't hear 2 1st rounders but if that's what Homie said, it would have legs but I didn't hear that. I heard 1 first and a player.

He has scored 25 twice over his career.
Only hit 20 one other season.
I have a hard time labeling him as a 25g scorer.

What needs to be said:

Pick 28 in this draft is 3-4 years away at best

Botts wants prospects already on their way to being in the show

I would think you could see a NHL player (cap purposes) a B+/A- prospect and a 2nd/3rd round pick being the way Botterill goes instead of picks no matter if they're firsts or not.

Not to mention to get 2 1st rounders for Kane has to mean a huge cap dump would be coming back

You have to take years played, divide by goals scored, subtract how many times he refuses to ride the team bus, add arrests, then divide by 2.5

that's how you calculate it

(frank)ing Ennis...

As it turns out being an elite level hockey player doesn't directly correlate to being an elite driver.

On Monday night several players in the Minnesota Wild organization where having a rather difficult time getting to the Xcel Energy Center due to the terrible weather conditions in Minnesota on that night. In fact just minutes before game time over half a dozen players were still unaccounted for.

As a result some of those players were given a police escort in order to facilitate their journey to the arena, but unfortunately for a pair of Wild players even that wasn't enough to prevent an accident.

According to a report from Minnesota Wild insider Mike Russo, Wild forward Tyler Ennis hit his fellow teammate, Wild defenseman Matt Dumba, while the two men were being escorted to the arena by police officers.

Russo reports that Ennis "slammed" into the back of Dumba's car so we're assuming that this was a fairly rough collision, although both men played in the game so it appears that no one was seriously injured in the incident.

That being said, Ennis may now be finding himself buying Dumba a few dinners in the future in order to make up for a mistake that he is surely being ribbed for in the Wild's locker room.

Jbotts is looking at the ahl and college for a nhl ready player for next year.

Maybe jbotts was too busy extending kane to see the 2 1st round pick offer?
