Botterill should be fired if that’s the case - Pegullaville
Why?
So he waits 3-4 years for a late first rounder to be sniffing the NHL?
People get too tied up to a "first round pick"
This isn't the NFL

(frank)ing Ennis...
As it turns out being an elite level hockey player doesn't directly correlate to being an elite driver.
On Monday night several players in the Minnesota Wild organization where having a rather difficult time getting to the Xcel Energy Center due to the terrible weather conditions in Minnesota on that night. In fact just minutes before game time over half a dozen players were still unaccounted for.
As a result some of those players were given a police escort in order to facilitate their journey to the arena, but unfortunately for a pair of Wild players even that wasn't enough to prevent an accident.
According to a report from Minnesota Wild insider Mike Russo, Wild forward Tyler Ennis hit his fellow teammate, Wild defenseman Matt Dumba, while the two men were being escorted to the arena by police officers.
Russo reports that Ennis "slammed" into the back of Dumba's car so we're assuming that this was a fairly rough collision, although both men played in the game so it appears that no one was seriously injured in the incident.
That being said, Ennis may now be finding himself buying Dumba a few dinners in the future in order to make up for a mistake that he is surely being ribbed for in the Wild's locker room. - jochfr
It was snowing all day here (i live ten mins from the arena)
It was no mystery the roads were bad.
My wife left home an hour and a half early to make it to work on time (15 min drive usually)
Sometimes common sense is underrated.
You cant fix stupid i guess.

GMTM would have sent the two first rounders to his uncle (god rest his soul) for Wade Reddens sisters nephew (if he played hockey). |

This is a deep draft this year with quality to be found even in the second and third rounds. If Botts declined having an additional 1st rounder this year and the ability to pick twice in th first round next year we better get quite the package or else I’m already worried about the state of the franchise once again |

Same thing applies for the lehner trade with ottawa. Late first. Some can't get over it still.
I would think he could flip those 2 1sts with another team looking down the line further. |

First rounders are excellent trade bait though |

Every draft is different
IF and that's a big IF a team did offer 2 first round picks for Kane one would assuming it's a team that the playoffs are almost a guarantee at this point and thinking they're a 1 or 2 seed.
A late first this year doesn't help this team |

Barzal took two years, bellows should be in an NHL lineup next year as should Mittlestadt. If the goal is to be good in 2021 like Homie is saying then what am I missing here ? The league is shifting to a youth movement. |

Too angry in the thread today, so I figured I'd post a happy stat:
We may not have lost Okposo for good.
11pts (3g, 8a) in his last 11 games. That's all I got today. |

16th overall pick
19th overall pick
8th overall pick
Not 28th overall pick
Ho Sang has had his cup of tea
The last 28th overall pick took 5 years to make it the show on a regular basis and that was Brady Skjei |

Considering how bad lehner is, i would still be mad if we had traded a 3rd for him. |

The wrong players and gave up too much for them
There is no perfect formula but to say a GM should be fired for turning down 2 firsts for Kane without knowing what the details of the trade were is pretty short sighted |

What did the Hanzal pick end up being?
You do know 8 teams lose in the first round each year |

Strange ,
Okposo has been playing better.
Okposo is playing better with eichel
Kane , not playing better
Kane is not playing with eichel
Seriously though: okposo is playing well, we need him to be a 60 point guy , otherwise it's another bad contract |

Agreed.
To say first round picks are not valued is also short sighted. |

16th overall
You do know every draft isn't as deep as that 2015 draft right? You know since you can't let go of it |
