The stacked 2015 draft
How's his team doing?
Now tell me this 2018 or next years 2019 draft is shaping up like the 2015 draft...
Because it's not and if it was then I would have taken the deal for Kane but it's no where close |

In his first 9 full seasons he hit 60 points twice.
Ppg over 82 games hes a 56.6.
I hope his production goes up after 30yrs old but im not counting on it. - TheHank
Firstly, I said "about". 56.6 is "about" 60 to me. Sorry if that was misleading. I don't think his production will spike, but 52-60 pts I think is attainable.
Let me ask you this: He's on pace for "about" 50 points this year (47??). Is it outrageous to believe he grabs 10 more if he doesn't start off at a snails pace next year (4pts in his first 13 games) and can continue to have chemistry with Jack? |

Go ahead I just looked
Now count how many years it took for them to become good players
There's 1 standout
Pasta - Stripes77
2013-Shea Theodore picked at 26
2014-David Pastranak picked at 25
2015-Brock Boesser picked at 23

Clearly you have your opinion. No one knows how strong a draft really is until a few years down the line. The 2014 draft was considered weak. Now its looking pretty strong. |

Theodore is good but to act like he is a game changer is a bit premature
I addressed Boesser already and like I said Pasta is legit
Now go back the previous drafts...23-27th it's not a great track record |

When was Colin White picked and is it true that he is the most dominant player since Keith Gretzky? |

Oh I didnt. But you would love to have him in your system of prospects. Listen you wont convince me that "late" first round picks arent valuable. |

I too would love him in our system he would probably be the Sabres best defensemen or close to it right now
I didn't say they weren't valuable.
But I think they're over valued a bit here.

Except for the top. The top still sucks. 2 woeful underachievers and a guy who has played 4 games, one guy who has great numbers with a top player in the league and average numbers away from him, and a guy who's a strong gust of wind away from a career ending concussion. |

The first round as a whole is looking much better than predicted. Ekblad is still a good player. Cant fault him or the team that picked him for the concussions. Just unfortunate. And honestly Reinhart still has put up decent numbers. Underwhelming for sure. Same goes for Bennett, hes not that bad and still pretty young overall. |

Come on now and this is season 4 after being drafted. Not in the 3 year window |

I'm not blaming any of them, I'm one of the ones preaching patience. Just stating that the top is not great especially compared to some of the guys picked after them. |

Hold up did you just call a " half"rookie a 40 point guy
Ok then so when he hits 25 goals what is he ?
So he's what a Sebastian Aho ? He's bad |

16th overall pick
19th overall pick
8th overall pick
Not 28th overall pick
Ho Sang has had his cup of tea
The last 28th overall pick took 5 years to make it the show on a regular basis and that was Brady Skjei - Stripes77
The first rounder we could have received could have been in the 15-22 range for all we know. Why specifically 28th ? Unless I’m missing something here |

Correct
Each draft is different
This years draft isn't 2015 though and neither is next years.
Late first rounders in those two drafts are eh - Stripes77
This years draft is a deep draft. Close if not on par with 2015 |
