Gudas got 10 games because he is an evil repeat offender but he's not a star like Marchand. - MJL
You guys have a point. He is clearly getting preferential treatment. He needs to be taught a lesson and I’m surprised a coach of his hasn’t done it yet.

Lot of people are pumped. I think they have a real chance of pulling it off. - Giroux_Is_God
I do too. It sounds stupid, so sorry if it seems blatant, but the game really comes down to the Foles we see. Is he going to poop his pants and play like he did during some of those early games or play with ice in his veins like he did against the Vikings? My worry, on your end, would be even if he plays like that we still have a chance. I’m not so sure the Vikings were a good opponent to play before going into the super bowl. And I don’t mean that to take away from how dominant the Eagles look. I actually hated when the patriots would beat a team to death that they then had to play in the playoffs - it rarely worked out in our favor.
If I were a betting man, I’d take the Eagles and the points. Does that mean they win? I really don’t know. I’m not sure why people have the patriots as overwhelming favorites. This may be the worst patriots team to make a super bowl.

Your right in that it’s basically all on Foles. I’m very confident the pats will get to that 24-30 point range.
What’s being brought up locally is that Foles has had no work with these first teamers. He was injured all camp with a shoulder. All the receivers are new to him except for Ertz. That combined with the mounting evidence that he is not a good cold weather QB which was a problem in the late season games and was apparent in the Atlanta game.
I’m skeptical as hell about the guy. I don’t know how anyone can be confident about which nick will show but at least he’s trending the right way

Those are actually a lot of good points that aren’t being brought up here. They may be in the future. This sounds so douchy, so I apologize, but local media usually spend the first 3-4 days after the AFC championship on the previous game with snippets on the super bowl opponent leaving the analysis to pump us the week before the game. God, I know that plays into why everyone hates us, just making a point in wondering whether that’s something we’re thinking of.

It's a shame he's such an Ahole because he's a great player. What really needs to happen is that he needs to have the crap beat out of him at center ice.

I agree that Foles is a big key but the Eagles have a legitimate chance because they have the best offensive and defensive line combined in football. Games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage.

I agree with the line of scrimmage point. I will say, however, that the patriots defense is often severely underrated. I don’t have the stats and am not going to look it up (lazy) but they gave up the fewest points in the league during the last 8(?) regular season games. Something like that at least. I’d take the Eagles defense so I’m not sitting here saying ours is better or close. I just am not sure Foles can do enough against our defense to out score the pats and I think a lot of that has to do with Bellichick. That and we just faced Fournette, who we had to scheme for, who is a way better back than Ajayi or Blount IMO. So we won’t have to focus on the run as much. That being said, I would not be surprised if we lost. I think it’s going to be a great game and I’m for some weird reason a Boston sports pessimist (maybe because it’s worked and we win more than lose? Idk )
