He’s a UFA at seasons end I believe and while they are tearing it up, assets are still important moving forward for an expansion team especially if he has no intention to resign. Who knows if he does want to resign but was just throwing a question out there

That is what I disagree with. They will not be the same or better if they swap one of those guys in for Simmonds this year. Years down the line, they MIGHT be.

Which "advanced stats" in particular do you want? Because I can cherry pick certain ones to make one or the other look better depending on which side of the argument you're on.
