no thank you, and that has nothing to do with him and his elbows - YuenglingJagr
Don’t care for him myself either, but was doing some thinking after whoever asked what moves would you make and he popped up as a potential guy. |

Appleyard posted a few names on twitter he would want in return in a Simmonds trade. Most teams might not be interested but a few names were:
Hertl
Fiala
Faksa
Meier
Puljujarvi
Bjorkstrand - johm12
Fiala would intrigue me. That's about it though. And I'm not trading him in-division. |

This may be widely unpopular, but would anyone take a shot at acquiring James Neal solely as a rental if we hold a playoff spot leading into the TDL? Of course IF Vegas even moves him. - arichardson22
Not sure why Vegas would do that deal. Especially where they sit in the standings.

He’s a UFA at seasons end I believe and while they are tearing it up, assets are still important moving forward for an expansion team especially if he has no intention to resign. Who knows if he does want to resign but was just throwing a question out there |

Speaking of dirty plays unless I missed it I am surprised no one has said anything about Larkin tripping Konecny then elbowing him in head. |

Was just gonna say that after the Marchand mention. Man TK really was ticking him off throughout the game between that play and then the OT winner |

It's not like this is the first time he is in the middle of controversy. It's always lime this with him, because he is skilled an knows how to mask it. |

If Edmonton is willing NHL to add their 2018 1st unprotected, I'll drive Simmonds to the airport and buy his 1st class seat. Can't hurt to ask, it is Chia after all. |

Jesse Puljujarvi, they guy with 22 points and 59 NHL games under his belt?
And Timo Meier, they guy with 23 points in 80 career NHL games?
I don't see how either of these players could replace Simmonds to make them better or the same. |

But they have the potential and talent to become 50-60 point guys who are younger than Simmonds. I like what Meier brings more though |

I wonder what Homer's advice would be on trading for the guy who they had as the BPA at #72 in 2013, but went off their draft board to take Goulbourne instead. |

I agree. But the quote the OP made was "I actually think the Flyers could still be the same team or better depending on the return of a trade of Simmonds."
That is what I disagree with. They will not be the same or better if they swap one of those guys in for Simmonds this year. Years down the line, they MIGHT be. |

Which "advanced stats" in particular do you want? Because I can cherry pick certain ones to make one or the other look better depending on which side of the argument you're on. |

Well, when we make Ghost a left winger, they can both play!!! Everyone wins. |
