It is nearly impossible to get a guy that will be as good immediately and also get future considerations
the only way that happens is if the guy is on an expiring contract or expensive contract, or it is a young RFA the team trading him does not believe in
of the names mentioned, I don't see many guys that IMO teams have given up on. I would trade Simmonds for Necas straight up, but I doubt Carolina would do that. One other trade I would make, that actually makes some logical sense, is Simmonds for Paciorretty
Yeah it puts them in the same contract situation, but that is Shea Weber/PK Subban esque - YuenglingJagr
I think a western team around the bubble would make a deal for Simmonds. Some of those teams have older vets and are getting to the end. Would be more inclined to make a push for the playoffs. Teams like the Wild, Chicago, Anaheim. Also they have limited cap space too.

I'd prefer to keep him, and definitely wouldn't trade him to an Eastern team. Especially Columbus, yuck. You know he'd score a PPG against us in every divisional game going forward. |

so what do you want from each of those teams and how do you get it? I just don't see it. All three probably miss the playoffs |

not sure I dont know where to find them
I hear about
Corsi, Fenwick, shooting % and save % while on ice. The first 2 sound more like baseball - wcorvette

Because it's a horrible way to characterize someone. If I come out tomorrow and lie about you trying to take advantage of me sexually, does that make you a bad person? - jmatchett383
I said nothing about it. You did. I responded to a hockey trade with a hockey comment. |

So why specifically don't you want such a highly-skilled player on the team? Please enlighten me. |

Yeah, let's not get a player who has an overtime Stanley Cup winning goal on his resume. |

I don't think anyone questions the skill and he would help. But how do you afford him, Giroux, Voracek and then the deal Provorov will need and then some of your other younger players.
Look at Chicago's minor system . it has nothing coming up. Yes they got those cups. But now they might fall back to the bottom a little because of some of the deals they have on the roster.

The realistic cost to land him is too high. It would be detrimental to the Flyers in the long run. |

That wasn't what was proposed.
We've talked at length about why you don't like Kane as a person, and frankly, it's complete bullpoop IMO. |

Manning has a CF% of 49.95 with a RelCFl% of 0.64
Sanehim has a CF% of 54.07 with a RelCF% of 6.79
What these mean is that, when they're on the ice, the Flyers attempt 54.07% of the shots as opposed 49.95% when Manning is on the ice. It also means that Sanheim's team takes 6.79% more shots players are paired with him as compared to others as compared to 0.64% with Manning.
Manning has a .90 Pts/60, Sanehim has a 0.62.
Interpret that as you like. - jmatchett383
Thank you, so it appears they are driving the play more with SanHeim?
I just googled it, I also seen save %, I assume that means when each are on the ice. The save % for manning was 93 and 89 for Sanheim

The Flyers are attempting a greater percentage of total shots with Sanheim on the ice than with Manning. That's what the numbers indicate. |

Looks to me like Sanheim is a better player than Manning even though some people say otherwise... |

Great heads up play from TKlutch last night. Moments like those much like the plays Ghost was making 2 years ago have me happy to be a Flyers fan because, well, the future doesn't look so darn bad. |

Happy they won, even though they didn't deserve it. I'll take lucky over good every game.
One weird thing that doesn't matter: Travis Konecny has scored OT winners in back-to-back games. Both times, when his teammates came over to congratulate him, he almost looked pissed, or at least wasn't smiling. Not anything for concern, just something I noticed. - jmatchett383
Badass. I love that poop |
