That wasn't what was proposed.
We've talked at length about why you don't like Kane as a person, and frankly, it's complete bullpoop IMO. - jmatchett383
Again, you brought it up. I didn't. Let it go. |

On a side note from the game last night. I was trying to count the chomps per minute from the Detroit coach after his failed interference challenge but wasn't able to keep up. Dude straight up murdered his gum. |

Looks to me like Sanheim is a better player than Manning even though some people say otherwise... - johm12
You can't just look at those numbers and say that is what is happening. That is where you get yourself into trouble. Same thing as using +/- to say Hagg is playing great.
There are specific reasons why Sanheim's corsi is higher than Manning's, and only one of them are because he is better. Sanheim hasn't played with MacDonald or Manning much, and Manning has to play with himself. Sanheim is usually limited in ice time when the Flyers have a lead, which is when the most shots against usually happen. He has a zone start advantage, though that isn't too big of a deal.
There are other stats to look at and also adjustments that are used to limit some of those effects I mentioned, but just pointing at corsi numbers and saying one is better than the other isn't correct and feeds the "flat staters" |

Okay. In that case, why specifically would you not trade Simmonds for Kane, a 1st round pick, and a top Chi prospect? |

Teams that are currently in playoff position in both points and points percentage are less than likely to make the playoffs...checks out. |

What moves would you all line to see the Flyers make at the trade deadline assuming the standings are the same as they are now. Curious about names you would want to acquire or move not necessarily positions that they need to fill. - johm12
It depends. I would like them to go after Evander Kane. I wouldnt want to give up more then 2017 first, 2018 Conditional 2nd if he resigns, Wade Allison, and they would have to take back either Lehtera or Weiss for money reasons.
I would also like to see them trade either Elliot or Nuevirth. Make a decision and make a trade. Just get a backup in the deal or call up Lyons.
That is all the changes I would be willing to make if we are planning on making a semi-serious run in the post season.
Otherwise I would trade Raffl, Weiss, Manning, Gudas, MacDonald, Filppula, Lehtera, In addition to one of the goalies. Not that most of those guys are tradeable. But you might get something decent for Gudas, Raffl, Macdonald (if you retain salary), and Filppula. Maybe a few picks. |

May I ask why should we trade one of our goalies? beef up draft picks? IMO our goal tending has been a strength this year. Why weaken the area?
