Just because it’s interesting to me, I wanna ask some questions to the ladies and gents who also lurk around in the comments with me.

1: If you have a Jets jersey, or many, whom are you repping?
2: Favourite piece of Jets memorabilia that you own?
3: Favourite moment of Jets 2.0 hockey?

- Rexypoo

Jersey Away white number 7 (not representing Chairot) some day a really good player will wear #7
Jet's memorabilia coffee cup
Favorite moment. 1st exhibition game against the Blue jackets and the crowd was the loudest ever during warm up. Same game when Buff nailed a guy good

I’m gonna answer my own question here:
1: Enstrom home, inaugural season patch with the “A”.
Trouba home.
Ehlers away with the “100” thing.
Wheeler Heritage Classic.
Also, Kovalchuk White Thrashers, if that counts.

2: Somehow came into possession of 2 original Jets hats from the last game in 1996. They are my very favourite possessions, and I will kill if they are harmed.

3: My first game, Matty P’s 5 goal rampage, and the one Jets/Caps game I got to go to with Scheifele’s 10 minute reviewed OT goal.

Maybe Buff doesn’t like being the #3 right defenceman ? He clearly is behind Trouba and Myers.

He used to be a game changer, but not anymore it seems.

He has already complained about his reduced ice time. He doesn’t want to play LHD....he doesn’t want to play RW....he should be grateful to be earning the salary that he gets and suck it up.

I can't figure him out this year at all. Could it be something as simple as "I am no longer the big dog on the block" anymore? Or, watching Morrisey and Trouba emerge, you getting less ice and them getting more? That has to be evident to Buf. I know I have posted my frustration more consistently I think about Buf than any other player on here and my biggest beef was ill timed pinch which results in a odd man rush. Is not being the big dog or getting the most ice time messing with his game? I just don't get it because he looks apprehensive some times, lost other times, slight reduction in hits, physicality (that part is not researched or proven, just going on what I see) so I just don't get it this year. Buf is definitely a different player this year and I am not just talking about scoring goals or points totals.

1: I have a Jet jersey, white mesh with no name! I typically don't wear Jet gear at games.
2: I have a little Jets 1.0 fridge magnet ever since 96 and also a 1.0 95 or 96 pocket schedule. I saved it from the last year and it is still with me. I can't really remember the year but Teemu is featured on it. I had some Jet underwear but sadly, they wore out and got thrown out.
3: Not sure what game it was or if it was year 1 or 2 since returning but Buff had 2 opposing players, each by the scruff of their necks (front of the jersey) and they were trying to punch Buf and he was shaking them like they were rag dolls. And he had his arms stretched out shaking the crap out these two guys at the same time, and the crowd was standing ovation just loving it. He is a powerful man! Best moment ever!

Good question Rexy!

I think Byfuglien is just slowing down. He isn’t the top dog anymore, and he can’t do everything he used to do. He’s probably frustrated, and that’s throwing off his decision making, but we have to accept he’s not prime Buff anymore.

Didn't Matty only get 4? he missed the break away that would have given that lady a million on Safeway score to win.

You are correct, sir. There was a breakaway in the last minute for Perreault that went through Montoya’s legs and stopped just before the line.

1) For JETS : Hawerchuck autographed jersey. I have Autographed Hull as well but Blackhawks. However among my most prized in my collection are 6 autographed Gretzky jerseys including Indianapolis Racers Gretzky jersey, St. Louis, and All-Star Jersey.
2) A lot of Jets Rookie cards like Selanne and Hawerchuk.
3) First 2.0 playoff game had a ton of atmosphere. Was there when we won Avco cups for 1.0 but also anytime Gretzky was in town was electric.

Ok, just an update here on my memorabilia pocket "game" schedule from 1995 / 96., "A season to remember"

Teemu was not a feature on it so I don't know where that came from but here were the ticket prices for that season according to the pocket schedule:

Blue 2 - $13
White -$21
Blue 1 - $26
Red 3 - $33
Red 2 - $40
Red 1 - $55
Box row 2 - $55
Box row 1 - $55

OM Goodness, You just became legal to drink libations in the US! Everyone, we need to be like Hendriks and nurture and mentor Rexy on HB, he is just a kid for crying out loud!!

Well Rexy, you are lucky that you did not have to endure the pain of watching the team leave in 96. It was an awful experience. The city seem to die after that, for a while. It was a horrible experience. The worst part of it was that in the summer of 95, they had a frickin wake for the team at the old arena. It was horrible and I can remember crying and they sang the Old Anxiety song. Then, shortly after that, they announced that the team would stay for the season of 95/96 and then leave. It was like losing the team twice. So, you are fortunate that you did not have to experience that part and were able to start fresh in 2011 with 2.0. We are really lucky with 2.0 in that our GM has a plan, good training from his days in Chicago and is building a winner in the smallest market.

Anyways, it is likely past your bedtime so you better sign off your Mom and Dads computer and hit the hay!! LOL, I am just kidding Rexy!

I was reaaaaallly lucky with the 2.0 situation. I dodged the heartbreak of the original team leaving. I got into hockey because of Ovechkin and the Caps when they started heating up, which lead to me being a fan of Kovalchuk and Enstrom in the southeast (and those weird ass Atlanta jerseys). The move to Winnipeg just bumped Atlanta from #2 to #1 for me. I can’t even imagine the mental struggle I would’ve had as a 14 year old if I developed a hatred for Atlanta and they became my team.

Eh. 3 years removed. I’d like to think I’m still young enough to always be learning and adapting my opinions. Hoping I’ll still be doing that when I die at 130. Care to elaborate on the alleged naivety?

The pain was all of that and more (never again).

Insult to injury the team nickname became 'coyotes', with American/Roadrunner pronunciation, further insult to injury - the team was seen on HNIC more the next season (as Coyotes) than all their previous time in Wpg combined.

I don't think you should say naïve. we all have different views on here and that's ok. Rexy obviously tends to lead the charge on here for analytics which is not surprising, that seems to be the trend with younger fans. It does drive me bonkers at times but is also needed on here, even if its just to show a different view point.

I agree with the idea that all kinds of different views and beliefs are a necessity in any fan base (and life in general). At the same time, it’s important that we try not to outright discredit or talk down to people whose views are not in line with our own. Yes, I do this sometimes *coughhendricksandmyerssuckcough*
