I think you enjoy watching prospects you spent your time investing into while they were playing lower level hockey, but part of me thinks you constantly bring up former Sabre prospects because you enjoy watching the world burn.
Probably a bit of both I suspect. - kingcong39
Nah, I bring it up because I was constantly bashed here for the ridiculous opinion that Tim Murray was awful, and these players we SHOULD have are and will be pretty good.
My revenge is best served with a heavy dose of sarcasm

We really haven’t drafted prospects besides Casey where we say man he’s going to be a stud
I think the last 3 three are Tim Kennedy , gerbe , Myers
I've been lurking for a LONG time without ever posting, but DAMN kid. Take your dumbass vegan poop and get the hell outta here. The man's career is over due to a serious neck injury. Get your head out of your ass. - one14four
Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield met "at length" with the Bills, Dolphins, Jets and Saints during Senior Bowl week.
The Heisman winner impressed in Mobile and is being projected as a first-round pick. Each of the teams mentioned would be a natural fit for Mayfield as the Bills, Dolphins, Jets and Saints are all seeking franchise quarterbacks. Mayfield is undersized (6'0") and has shown maturity issues, which has led to unfavorable comparisons to Johnny Manziel. However, talent evaluators have universally lauded his leadership qualities, mobility and playmaking ability. - SABRES 89
I'll be disappointed to see Kane go but I must say I'm intrigued how Botts will handle his first big trade. I think the guy is smart and even though he is going to be in a position of weakness for this season (regarding general trades, players not performing to they ability) at least I see him doing right by the team with smart judgement. I just get the feeling he knows how a locker room works and is getting the feel as we speak. Housley Im not as convinced about because I feel you need to get experience in coaching over many an 82 game schedule, knowing when to be the guy to put fear or consolation in his players psyche. He seems too soft right now but the thing is maybe he is doing it whats right right now and will work out to be a genius long term. Im sticking with him for at least next season either way.
Everything is so tuned towards quick results nowadays with forums like this and instant social media. There is a lot to be said for "sticking with the plan". These players are people and won't change as quick as our day to day hour to hour mercurial musings. I trust that the people in change know more about the sport than I....or us.
And as for tanking, Im done with it. We got Jack and he's a guy teams honestly wish for. He's a beast on one of the worst teams in the league making every single playerr on his line better. He will be even better on a winning team.
But I don't want people in their 20s to not know what winning is. I want to be a team that always has a 'want to win' mindset and use that. Vegas are the example that ended the tanking mentality for me. Loosing is akin to a since of depression, a negative funk. Don't let players who have been successful throughout their lives and only know a mindset to 'buckin win' to come into a situation of 'loose for future gains'. These guys don't understand that. Put Girgensons on a winning team and I guarantee he will come back to haunt us. Like Ryan O Riley playing for Canada and we realise that he is a special player. He cant be both great on the world stage as a 4th liner and poope in the league...something is going on. His passion is driven by the mindset he 'can' win. You cant fault a guy for loosing his will or at least finding it hard to motivate himself on a team that is bottom of the standings. Don't trade a guy for this. Who do we want back? A guy who is happy to cash the check on a loosing team once he puts up the points? He's the exact 2nd line centre teams crave for. The guy takes full responsibility and in time we may look back at him as a guy that did that at least. Basically the psychology of a player playing with the Sabres right now is a complicated mess.
Lets hope Buffalo keep this recent winning trend going through this season and beyond and see these players show what they have trained to do throughout their whole career.

You're a POS and everyone on this blog knows it and you proved us all right yet again, loser. What a complete waste of space you are. Traffic to the board ? Michael or EK doesn't need your comments to survive. - SABRES 89

You were super annoying with all the tmgm bashing. I was thinking every thing was fine in sabre land at the time.
You were right. Tmgm set this franchise back 3 years.
That's why I feel like this is similar to the 2015 mceichel season. Sabres need to hit on this pick badly, like jack.
