Not sure if you're from Buffalo but Ive been a fan of the Sabres since 99 and got to visit last in 2016. It was special to walk the streets and visit the arena that I'd only ever seen online before. The city needs a winner.

To bring it back to hockey, Mittestadt should stay in Roch next season...most of the season.

To bring it back to hockey, we had lunch in Ennis. We were there for the U20 hurling championships. It was on tv all the time and I had NO idea what was happening.

Couple more things, even though I'm sure no one cares:

Curating your own experience by driving is amazing. You have access to the radio and you go wherever you want.

We were there during the Eurocup and northern Ireland did surprisingly well, which was interesting to hear the Irish perspective on that. It was also during the Orlando, fl. Gay nightclub shooting and they were talking about it. We also listened to a ton of public radio and there was a guy giving an enthusiastic speech about how learning "irish" in school is a waste of time. While driving these beautiful roads, we heard a Gaelic cover of Old Crow Medicine Show's "Wagon Wheel" that still gives me goosebumps
