Overall: how long do we cry over spilt milk, even if it's a box truck full of milk?

So in a month you plan on Kane being traded for no return?
- sskkoo1

Is that return playing for us anytime soon?

So we might have to wait. Winnipeg has waited 3 years now for their end of the deal to start paying dividends. And, kane's not walking, we're trading him, that's on us, he could still be a Sabre next year if GMJB wanted him to be.

They made the playoffs that year.

This is my point. We make the playoffs, we actually would have got some important games with Evander Kane. Him being here has been irrelevant

Here. I'll spell it out.

It's called "winning games". Finishing 6th last as opposed to 2nd last, with regard to where they are now in the standings, means they are winning more. That changes a player's perspective. Why is that so hard to understand?

Bro that's worked out how great for us ? We did that last year and the Matthews draft

If we had a 100% chance to draft first if we finished last I'd say you have a point. Look at who won the lottery last year, 2 teams even.

It's great to say "what if?" in hindsight.

Put Jack head 2 head against McD and I bet you its way closer than the final times.

McDavid was faster in the turns, didn't lose time like Jack did. That was the difference.

You’re delusional if u think an extra 5 or 6 wins is gonna make a difference
At the end of the day,
u aren’t going into the offseason on a high note if u finished 6th last

It would be one thing if they were in a spot to make a run at the playoffs,
but they’re too far back

Idk if u have played sport before or not...
but no team finishing where the Sabres will this year is gonna feel like they’re “winners”

“Changing the losing culture” is gonna take time... and a heck of a lot more winning that we could possibly do this season

Yeah, sure...
but it’s better to be in the best position possible

It’s not like we have a chance at the playoffs

You're right.

They should just lose out so you guys can all jack off to all the mock drafts until late June.

I've played hockey, baseball, soccer, basketball and lacrosse. And you're delusional if you don't think that winning a nice share of their remaining games gives them hope going into next year.

You're so hell bent on picking at the top, you fail to see what a great 2nd half can do for the confidence of these players going forward.

I'm done. You have your opinion, which is all it is, and I have mine, and we have differing philosophies on how you can build a winner. And that's fine. Enjoy your weekend.

Buffalo's favorite word,

Hope for a roster that won't have a lot of returning players. Endure the season, draft that defensemen that plays almost Tim Connolly caliber hockey. Start winning in September

Edit: Good morning all

No, but for the returning players, a positive end to a miserable season can't hurt.

Apologies for bringing this back up but I don't check into this site more than once or twice a week anymore and so am late to the party.

Gerbe, you are a coward. You are a poop stain in this forum and have always been. With the glimpses into your life that you provide occasionally its quite apparent that you are the same person offline as well.

It's absolutely disgusting to cheer on a career ending injury, that will probably also ruin his quality of life for the rest of his life, just because you felt he needed to be replaced on your favorite dumb ball team.

Seriously go (frank) yourself. I'm certain I'll be banned for this post while your horrible sentiment will live on because you're a celebrity in a hockey forum.

Horrible. I look forward to your snarky dismissive reply.
