Id also take, and probably prefer, a Messier, Clarke, Trottier, Crosby, Yzerman, etc. Players with some "edge" to their game

He has run in front of the other QBs to steal an extra rep. He's only QB to shake hands with the WRs after drills. You can see he understands the coach's directions before the other QBs. Very attentive when it's not his turn. He moves faster during drills. He's setting tone.

It seems like Wood is retiring out of caution. Which is nice. They just added him, today, to the Fred Jackson roast. So it's not a huge, catastrophic thing, but enough to make him hang'em up.
