Anyone see all the ridiculous trade tweets from Leaf fans for Eichel? Worse transom of the ones I see on here.
"Nylander for Eichel, maybe throw in a 2nd to get it done"
"Nylander and Marner for Eichel" - soljor09
The Leaf fans are only having fun. They are just showing respect for Eichel as we do likewise for Matthews. Both set of fans would love to see Eichel and Matthews play on the same team. |

On pace for 62pts
That would be 24pts over the next 33games
So something like,
10-19-4
Sucks that we had to start talking about a draft pick 2 months into the season...
but that’s where this team is at
Definitely have some good players,
but obviously some major holes to fill as well |

leafs fan: "Why does my apartment cost 1.5 million dollars?" - lulags
While I can absolutely appreciate a lower cost of living, I never understood why Western New Yorkers looked at higher property values in other cities as a bad thing.

Anyone interested in John Carlson in free agency? if so how much would you give him? - MCGUIZZY
YES
Probably gonna take a 7 x 7 deal
He’s out scoring Erik Karlsson so far this year (38pts to 31)
Only Burns (41pts) & Kilingberg (48pts) are ahead of him
And unlike Shattenkirk,
Carlson can actually play in his own end
Even if we won the lotto, I’d still go after him
Imagine this defense:
Dahlin-Carlson
Scandella-Ristolainen
Guhle-McCabe
Antipin
Trade Bogosian & Beaulieu |

I would sign Carlson if he would come here, but he is not outscoring Erik Karlsson on this roster. |

Fair...
but we do have more talent coming
I don’t think he’d be wasted here
Either Dahlin or one of the snipers will help |

Carlson will cost a good chunk but he's a good D man, I wouldn't mention Dahlin, long shot to win that pick. |

Damn. Yea thats a tough salary/term. But hes not super old and would be a big upgrade. I think he would fit in here nicely. |

We're in a chicken and egg scenario: The D doesn't score, so the forwards don't get goals/assists from them either, and the forwards don't score (besides 15, 90 and a couple others) so the D don't get points.
Maybe a difference maker on both ends could blow up the log jam |

Everyone seems to be talking like it’s a sure thing
The NHL is so annoying though
Why don’t they start negotiations NOW ?
And get this thing done before we have to miss games
So dumb |

Don't get me wrong. He absolutely would improve this team. However, part of the reason he is scoring is because Washington's roster, both up front and on defense is miles ahead of Buffalo's. Erik Karlsson moves the needle. John Carlson not so much. |
