Ham salad is a throwback to an earlier era that deserves to be revisited. It’s great with a bit of relish (dill or sweet, either one works!)

Here’s a great appetizer idea: substitute ham salad for the yolk part of a deviled egg. Man that’s tasty.

The biggest thing to me is the jerseys.

The NBA has "main alternate" jerseys and then 1-time use jerseys for special events and such

The NHL makes a big deal about how an alternate jersey must be worn for a minimum of two years, bla, bla, bla to protect the sanctity of the jersey as a symbol and the brand.

AND YET...

The ads are coming for NHL jerseys. So fans get all of the downside of NHL jerseys with ads and none of the fun aspects. If the Montreal Canadiens only want 2 jerseys for the rest of their existence, awesome, go for it. But other teams should be given creative leeway. It's not hard to make it work:

"We're gonna wear our green St. Patrick's jerseys tonight at home, can you guys wear your red jerseys so there's no confusion?"

"yeah"

The NHL used to be a lot more lax about it. The Ducks would wear their eggplant jerseys, the Yotes their peyote vision ones, the Flames their bright red and yellow... Now with Adidas they took them away for at least this year, next year too? I can't remember, but then they'll come back and hopefully the NHL lightens up again and teams can have their 2 main, a 3rd and maybe 1 or 2 special ones if they want once or twice a year.

How much are NBA replica jerseys? It could be a cost thing. NHL jerseys are like $150. They might not sell a ton of weird jerseys because of cost.

This is not accurate. No World Series in 1994. NBA locked out in 98-99 and 2011. The NFL had a lockout in 2011, too, but no games were missed because it was resolved before the season started.

I bought a blank version of that one when it came back for sale for a couple weeks in '15. I had visions of making it a #8 Briere jersey but never got around to it.

The reason they don't have 3rd this year is because Adidas took the jerseys over and had to create 62 jerseys (plus more for the outdoor games) from scratch.

It wasn't something that was feasible to add another 31 different jerseys from scratch in one offseason.

I liked them, but I hope not. That color should be the primary color on the home jersey going forward. I want a blue and gold goat head with sabre patches or something totally new for an alternate

Eichel was the worst player in the All-star game.
I know the game doesn't mean anything, but the guy is just standing there looking at players while others are pressuring guys.

It reminded me watching buffalo games where they loose in overtime cause Eichel doesnt have his man.

He was the reason why Atlantic lost, or goals were scored against them, when he is on the ice..
