It’s not a conclusion. It’s an observation. I don’t think it’s coincidental.
We will see if it continues until he’s gonzo - sbroads24
It’s an insanely small sample size though
That’s even worse than equating is winning with when Pouliot scores |

IDK he reminds me alot of Pat Kane. Just the way he controls the puck. He has all around skills but I see him as that savvy playmaking wing that can distribute and score on his own. - MCGUIZZY
Ok that makes sense. At the WJC's he was certainly trying to distribute a LOT and looked good doing it. Watching some of those PP highlights from the Gophers had me thinking the kid had a laser. |

Mittsy's shot is confusing to me, help me out here forwards.
I've seen him on the PP do the same play repeatedly, where he comes off the half wall, gets to the top of the circle and either shoots or passes low/far post. I've seen him beat goaltenders with a pretty long range shot.
So I'd say he has at least a good release. Is he not a goal scorer because he tends to distribute or because his shot is suspect?
Ex: This is kind of what I mean, but a little closer in.

Ex: Looks to be a quick release

He does play with a shorter stick. It might help with a little quicker release especially in tight traffic but might hinder his shot speed a bit. Ive watched every gopher game this year and have gone to a couple in person. Is incredibly shifty and makes these little 10-25ft saucer passes look easy and routine. He is definitely more of a playmaker but has a really accurate shot as well. When seeing him play in person he immediately stands out even more so than on tv for me. His composure, vision and playmaking ability with multiple defenders surrounding him is really fun to watch.
Also, he is most definitely a center. He just sets up on the half wall just on the power play. I can see him playing there for us and making defenders look stupid as he threads passes cross ice to feed jack on the other side.
If we were to play him on jacks wing for a bit i would expect jacks goal totals to go way up. He is like the exact opposite of kane. I am actually hoping they play him there with jack at least for a bit. Should be a highlight reel in the making with those two feeding off each other.

Yea I think he would look great on the wing feeding Jack
Maybe you try out something like
Mittelstadt-Eichel-Reinhart
Thats alot of skill, smarts and offensive power. |

Casey is a lot like Patrick Kane he's just magic with the puck I'm sure lots of people see the comparison the way he was moving in the World Junior game |

Okposo digging pucks out of the corner and standing by the net could work too |

Hopefully my boy Samson lasts that long and thanks for dropping the knowledge for me. Us goalies are slow on the uptake with that stuff. |

His vision is great, he’s a center IMO.
But Reinhart’s vision was also supposed to be great and he might never top 30 assists |

He has looked much better on that line and Samson has done well with RoR. Nice to have a couple options that have been working. |

So was Reinhart but i know what you are saying. We will see how he fits in the NHL. Personally I think him and Jack could be a perfect match. Ive always looked at Jack as more of a scoring center that could use a playmaking winger |

He's a very exciting player to watch every time the puck touches his stick you just know something magical is going to happen I can't say the same thing about Sam Reinhart

But translating to wing is very easy it's moving from Wing to Center that's the most difficult part

I say just kill everyone and just put Casey with Jack like the Pittsburgh Penguins did with Crosby and Malkin at first until they got linemates |

I kind of like that he's getting time PP time on the wing so he can be more of a Swiss Army knife for us. Then again, Jack, Casey and RoR down the middle, throw in Asplund and we might actually have that center depth Darcy told us about.
I don't know what to wish for any more. |

I'm not sure what the numbers are but I feel like their record hasn't been too bad with Kane out for the last few years |

I think him and jack together will be awesome to watch but he seems like the kind of player that can pivot the second line for us and diversify the scoring more. Either way he is a joy to watch. A couple times every game he does something where i have to rewind the game a couple times and watch it again in awe. Not always on scoring plays. |
