I get the Redskins and the Chief Wahoo stuff, but from my understanding Irish Americans are by and large pretty goddamn proud of the IRA, and the Leprechaun is an iconic creature of Irish folklore. It's not like our mascot is a drunk Irishman drinking beer. Its less offensive than the (frank)ing Celtics because at least we don't intentionally mispronounce the name, and no one ever suggests the Celtics are insensitive.
