I still don't trust him.
I mean, why doesn't he have an avatar?
How can we possibly know if he is being sincere if we can't see his avatar? - Atomic Wedgie
My avatar is the greatest avatar in avatar history. I only wear it on special occasions though... |

I thought Gardiner was crap? this is so confusing - senstroll
Simple way to look at this:
After Leafs win: Gardiner is playing better than he used to be. He could be good on the second pairing if we find him the right guy to play with.
After Leafs loss: Gardiner had no brain whatsoever. Why can't we get rid of him? |

NHL goals when 19/20yo
Matthews 63
Selanne 0 - senstroll
Kind of says it all, doesn't it? Selanne couldn't even score a single goal at that age, even in his high-scoring era! Matthews is like 63 times better than Selanne. |

I always stand by the sentiment he has no brain whatsoever. I do have to give him credit when he plays well but I can chalk that up to "small sample size" since he's playing a more prominent role with Hainsey since Rielly went down.
I personally think Gardiner has limited time as a Leaf (If the don't trade the young ones) as his contract has what, another year left? It'll be time to move on from him and attempt to replace him for cheaper (hopefully with more upside). |

that depends, did Gardiner make any bone-headed plays that directly led to the loss? |

Cool, how do you do the infinity symbol? I need that for when I make my Z predictions. I don't do any silly-ass 1 to 5 poop like EK. I go all the way to mother(frank)ing infinity! |

Some nights it seems like he has to stop and think about what his next move is..... Then someone takes the puck from him...

There needs to be a stat for "turn overs that directly lead to goals" (call it the
"Bonehead" metric).
It'd be interesting to see if Gardiner is unfairly/unjustly maligned or if there is actually merit to the naysayers arguments that he, indeed, is defensively akin to a virulent hybrid strain of cancer-AIDS. |

Matthews' release when he gets it just up under the bar like that is so sick and disturbing. He's the kind of player, anytime he's anywhere in the slot or around the net and the puck is even in the vicinity, you get scared if you're not a Leaf fan. Especially since he can take the puck away from people like Datysuk.
