Wedgie will meet you at his house, then off to the Bar Isabel in his neighborhood for some food. Or the Keg near the ACC.

I might be in the minority/alone on this but the Loose Moose kinda sucks now. They went all in on catering to the after work banking crowd with their reno. Beer selection is ok, food is barely a notch above chains, they don't play the sound for games anymore, etc.

Well, I'll be at the game so that's not a problem, but everything else

Maybe I'll check out C'est What? Seems like a coold spot suggested by multiple people

For the area it's definitely my first pick of places to drink. I live a block from it.

Cheap drinking however brings me to Pacific Junction and Bettys but then your hiking a bit further.

Oh and if you want some dope BBQ then AAA isn't too far.

Edit: and they always stock a tap or two from by favorite brewery. If you go, make sure you try whatever they have from Bellwoods Brewery.

i think snow is under pressure to make the playoffs.

he might make a panic move and overpay for a puck-moving dman like barrie.

So I bombed on my prediction yesterday (I said 4-2 NYI).
Tonight I'll say another Leafs W. 3-1 Leafs.

Hey (frank)faces, any suggestions where should I go before the game up there?
- RickJames77

How much $$$ do you want to spend.
Go to the beer or liquor store and do your pre-drinking in your hotel room.

they're a mess defensively without de haan and boychcuk. goaltending is a disaster.

top 2 lines are solid, not sure if they need some bottom 6 forward depth as a 3rd priority?

i was guessing earlier today something like green and mzark from detroit. i just know of any good goal-tending solutions out there.

I'd prefer to go out in the city if I'm visiting, but I'll probably double dip

Any more expensive around there than it is here (assuming you've been here?). At least the dollar is relatively strong right now.

Shall I assume that you will be here for the February 24th game?

Because weekend games are a little different than weekday games.

The ACC is very close to the financial district, so on weeknights, you'll be fighting against the after-work suits.

If it's a Saturday night, can I assume you'll want to eat near the arena, and maybe get a little "pre-game atmosphere" going?

There's a strip of bars just east of the ACC in a little pocket called "The Esplanade" - some standard chain bars and restaurants that are usually filled with fans (hint: don't go to the Old Spaghetti Factory - unless you also have 7 kids under the age of 10).

I think somebody else said the Keg. It's a chain steak house - I've never been in an Outback Steakhouse, but I'm guessing they would be similar (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). There's one in the Esplanade (always packed, you have to get there before 5 pm on game nights). But there's a better one on Bay Street - about 10 minutes north of the ACC - they redid the interior a few years back - it's really nice. I recommend eating in the bar area, and feeling the buzz. Or if you really want to go Keg-wild, you can go to the Keg Mansion - the restaurant inside an old mansion on Jarvis Street. You can then take a $10 Uber to the game.

Another place I like to go is the Amsterdam Brewhouse. It's right on Lake Ontario, so it can be really franking cold on a cold night. But the food is pretty good, the beers are good, and nice atmosphere. If you aren't with your wife, you can walk to the game after dinner. If you are with your wife, she will make you take a cab. It's about 10 minutes southwest of the ACC.

There's a ton of seating so you shouldn't have a problem. The majority of the crowd hangs right at the ACC so it doesn't get too overwhelmed over that way. If you're in there between 5-6 you'll be fine.
