And one further thought: let people know you are actually from Boston.

We tend to hate Torontonians who cheer for other teams (especially the Habs). If you are a Bostonian cheering for Boston, it's all good in the 'hood.

Yeah, especially if there is an afternoon game you can watch, although the few times I've been there in the last year or so, they blast music whenever the Leafs or Raptors aren't playing.

And I find the food there to be nasty - just overpriced, oversauced and dripping with calories.

- Atomic Wedgie

Scenery can be good though, but like you mention - the food and prices... egads, a night of a few wings and a beers with your buddies..oh my. Like 6 trips to Gagsters in Niagara Falls.
We took our sales team there for a night - golfing, eating drinking. Bill was close to the Voodoo Lounge in Vegas with the same team ffs, and it ain't no Voodoo Lounge.

In all the Leafs games I have ever been to, the only time I have ever seen an opposing fan be treated poorly was when a drunk douchebag Leafs fan dumped a beer on his head. About five Leafs fans grabbed the douchebag, security was called, the douchebag was thrown out, the rest of the section apologized profusely to the Sens fan, and somebody bought him a beer.

True story.

If you are going to be an idiot, you will be treated like an idiot.

If you are just cheering for your team, you will be treated like a guest to our city - which is what you are.

Well said.

Don't you worry, there's only 25 letters in the alphabet.

Thanks for help everyone

One more travel tip:

Porter Airlines flies to Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport (yes, a name longer than the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge). From there, it's a 5 minute, free shuttle bus to downtown Toronto (they drop you off a block north of the ACC).

Every other airline flies to Pearson International Airport - which is a 30 minute, $12 train ride to downtown.

It is. They have a second bottling/brewing location somewhere up around the Annex too (I think that's where anyway)

Pretty easy directions.

Get on the I-90.

When you get to Buffalo, turn right.

Drive for another 90 minutes and you will literally drive past the ACC.

I don't know. I'd do it straight up.

Weber (Habs retain 100% of the salary and player)

straight up for

Nylander (Leafs retain 100% of the salary and player)

no doubt it would.

I am fine staying patient if the right (cheap) deal does not fall in the Leafs Lap.
Its starting to pay off already with Dermott.. who a lot of fans scoffed at the leafs trading down 2 times for.

I may be a bit higher on Lilyg than most. I dont want to move him

- senstroll

Which is stupid. If the Leafs didn't trade down to get him they would have drafted him in the 1st round. So they got the guy they wanted plus more.

And I agree on Liljegren. I think he's gonna be fantastic. No way I'd trade him. He's improved greatly on the defensive side already.

His focus on defense was apparent at the World Jr's this year. Takes commitment to fight the urge to rush the puck continually - especially if you're pretty good at rushing the puck...it's fun.

I live in western CT... and regularly visit family in southern ontario.

dependent on weather... of course... I'd suggest you drive through Albany and continue on to Utica and then head north towards Ontario... cross over at the 1000 Islands Prkwy near Kingston (home of Don Cherry )...

then drive into Toronto from the east.

avoid going through the Buffalo, Niagara and western portion of Lake Ontario.
