They guy with the same amount of goals as a Matthews this season in 9 more games? 12 of which are PP goals to Matthews' 2! (+3 ENGs for Laine to AMs 1. Have to always make that dig )

Anyone remember that basketball player from years ago that threw the ball off his own backboard so he could get another rebound so he would have a triple double?
That’s laine with empty nets. Just trying to pad his stats. Unfortunately he hasn’t realized they don’t count as goals or rebounds for that matter.
Anders0n must be in serious Vezina contention now?
Vasilevski looks like the frontrunner, but Anders0n is right there in the next group. - BestRapperAlive

Eh if stats are telling the story, for roughly the same starts Vasilevski/Smith/Hellebuyck/Rinne are all in front of him.
Kapanen this Kapanen that, a little bit of Bozak, throw a second in there or not, but then include Dermont or a personal favorite, JVR. Maybe a little GOAT along with the spirit of Jesse (frank)ing Blacker. - RickJames77

Do you frankfaces really not think Weber could help?
My offer would start with Liljegren (or however the frank he spells it) and a 1st.
Then see what else we have to fill in.
But I doubt it would be enough. - Atomic Wedgie
Weber would certainly improve the Leafs fortunes and fill a huge need - a legit top pairing, perennial Norris candidate RHD who can play big minutes with a booming shot and is mean as (frank).
But man, I'd be very reluctant to package up Liljegren: an 18 year old RHD who projects to be a top line pairing d-man. He may not have the same assets as Weber but he has ridiculous offensive vision and is a phenomenal skater who we have under team control for years to come.
Is it worth including a blue chip young defender for a guy who is at the tail end of his prime? Maybe... if there weren't 2 prominent RHD on the UFA horizon. I mean sure, Doughty and Karlsson are going to command 10M+ -- but they're 4-5 years younger than Shea, arguably (I'd say most definitely) better, and the Leafs would (potentially) not have to give up assets to get them.
In short, I'd rather wait a year and make a run at those guys rather than trade Liljegren for Weber.
Only cause he plays with Mathews. If Laine played with Mathews he'd be putting up even more points, so he's a much better player than Mathews. - david22

Freddie has faced considerably more shots than any of those guys and has a much thinner defense corps in front of him.
Having said that, unfortunately hard statistics - specifically, Wins, GAA, and S% - seem to trump everything else in the Vezina race. I doubt Andersen will be a finalist.

32, signed until the end of time and injured...
At most, the offer should be Leivo, Gardiner and a 2rd rd pick..

Love it! (frank) Laine, and his disgusting beard.
What site is it people use to see which goals were scored Even Strength, PP, Empty Nets, etc..

I think there is a remote possibility Karlsson makes it to UFA.
If you could go back, would you take Barzal or Werenski over Marner? - TheMussel
I would take Werenski, but not Barzal. Barzal is having a great rookie year, but so did Marner. Perhaps Barzal slumps next year and Marner recovers.
I believe if you reverse the Draft, and Matthews draft was in 2015, I think the leafs pass on Marner and take one of Dmen available that draft in Hanifin, Provorov or Werenski. I still see the leafs taking Marner over Barzal if done again.
