Duclair and Debrincat developing some good chemistry. Really nice passing play there and almost a Toews rebound goal.

Apparently Foley got the OK to rip on Saad for the same thing many other Hawk players are guilty of - lack of sack.

Sure, but he carried this team's offensive production the entire year. He's in a 12 game slump, Saad and Toews have underperformed all year.

But this has been a critical time in the season, including a long home stretch that should have resulted in a lot better than in did - and the rest of the team isn’t scoring enough either.

A major team leader needs to be leading the team out of the wilderness, no matter how much he carried the team earlier.

Kane looks putrid tonight. Giving away pucks all over the place and not even engaging defensively. I know it was at the end of a shift, but the 3 on 1 was useless as well.

It was again that 2nd line scrambling in their own end. They just wrapped up another shift where AA coughed it up, they got stuck defending and Kane turned it over again.

I'm glad those guys got a goal, but it is an adventure in front of glass.

He is at a PPG while the $16 million dollar third liners in Toews and Saad each trending towards under 50 and under 40 TOTAL points in 82 games. Kane has 50 points already on the year soooooo it's clear who hasn't and still isn't carrying their offensive weight.

Ya I mean he only made a great individual play on the leading goal by stealing the puck from a much larger player and putting it in Schmaltz's wheelhouse.....this freaking Kane guy creating offense for the 2 goal max/game Hawks...the nerve.

Put your glasses on

88 had "4-5" HORRID turnovers & Glass bailed him out

That is why he is a MINUS this year

That was a bad non-call on Schmaltz. At least #8 is looking dangerous out there again.

I’m the furthest thing from a Kane basher. I agree he made a great play on the goal, but you can’t honestly say he didn’t have a crap stretch there in the first. He had three giveaways himself, two of them were when he was basically standing still with the puck on his stick.

Wow - NBCSN guys, including Eddie O, saying Kane's line is the #1 line and always is and Schmaltz may now be the #1 Center.

i reviewed the entire 1st period: kane had two turnovers and a pass that did not connect that lead to flames high quality chances; one other time he was on the ice but did not figure at all in the chance the flames had...

so not "4-5" HORRID turnovers...however the kane line does tend to get pinned in their dzone more often than not...

Like the rest of the team, he has been very inconsistent in his scoring.

Games with no points:

2017-18 - 21/51 = 41%
2016-17 - 27/82 = 33%
2015-16 - 18/82 = 22%
2014-15 - 24/62 = 39%
2013-14 - 23/69 = 33%

No Panarin? Not a set line for too much of this season? Maybe....

But in a season when the team is struggling for consistent scoring, no points in 2 of every 5 games is not acceptable.

Just IMO, of course.

I think you are being a bit easy on him. He gave it away twice on his first shift.

Skates to the red line and the Flame just poked it right off his stick and turned the other way. He then got the puck on the half-boards in his own zone and gave it right away.
