I think you are being a bit easy on him. He gave it away twice on his first shift.

Skates to the red line and the Flame just poked it right off his stick and turned the other way. He then got the puck on the half-boards in his own zone and gave it right away.

i was looking specifically at resulting high quality chances...no i may not included that one...

There's than damn no defense 88 creating goals for the Hawks again. BEAUTIFUL PASS from Kaner.

Like the rest of the team, he has been very inconsistent in his scoring.

Games with no points:

2017-18 - 21/51 = 41%
2016-17 - 27/82 = 33%
2015-16 - 18/82 = 22%
2014-15 - 24/62 = 39%
2013-14 - 23/69 = 33%

No Panarin? Not a set line for too much of this season? Maybe....

But in a season when the team is struggling for consistent scoring, no points in 2 of every 5 games is not acceptable.

Just IMO, of course.

So two points for him tonite - maybe a new start.

That was a nice pass and finish. Hino couldn't miss that one.

Weird - they go back to the PP units the players defined and they score quickly.

I believe last 12 goals scored by players 21 or under. Be interesting to know their combined salary. pay attention core

Maybe he is snapping out of his slump. I mean, if Kane is generating offense, the other problems are minimized. They need some point streaks!

Kane sets up Vinny again but off the iron. Hinostroza has been producing offense often lately.

I have to admit, Hinostroza is exceeding expectations. I didn't expect him to improve so much based on his play last season. Kudos to everyone that wanted him in the lineup.

C’mon man. Goalie-33 notwithstanding, its not like anyone’s saying he’s trash. He had a lot of issues with giveaways in the first. Also a lot of floating in the first 10 of the first.

And, thanks to Kane for spending many hours with him this summer, working on his skills.

Seabrook terrible. As weak side D you don't need to be skating toward the strong side boards, already out of position giving up the center of the ice.

Kinda sucks too when Duclair and DeBrincat turned it over on whatever that was at the attacking blueline.

He's by far their best offensive player. Everyone has turnovers, especially when the puck is on your stick all game. He directly created the only 2 goals scored and almost a 3rd but Vinny hit iron. Saad doing nothing on the 4th line and Toews going for the double digit scoring drought should be far more of a concern.

Had Seabrook maintained high center position that doesn't happen. Watch where he was...NOT where he needed to be.

He's the weak side D and he's basically shoulder to shoulder with Gustafson at the ozone blue line. 7 was out of position by a mile.

I'm not disagreeing, just saying those guys can't give the other team transition chances like that. The old adage about turnovers at either blue line. I mean, 7 was out of position, but if the Hawks get the puck deep it doesn't turn into a problem.

the linesman was calling a delayed offsides...i suspect that impacted seabs positioning and the hawks soft play
