Fast forward 3 weeks
Rick Nash has been traded for a B level prospect and 2rd pick - Vukota
I think that’s more realistic. |

For one you can only retain half a salary. So your an idiot. if you want a first it will take retain half salary, and take back a bad contract with years left on contract. - BigDog912
Correction. 1/2 salary.
You live in Buffalo, I would say you're the idiot |

LOL Nash is not slow, by any means.
Can he score like Pac or Kane? I would say he’s not as consistent as them, but his all around game is superior to those guys. - Rinosaur
OMG really, have you watched kane play. Does Nash play on the PK? And Nash is slow in todays game. |

I wouldn't call him slow. He might not be blazing but he is not slow even for today's game |

For 7.8mill....yes...Nash production doesn't reflect that, but for a rental, w/ most if not all of his remaining salary being pciked up by NYR, and then plugging him into a 2nd line role on a team who is playoff or stanley cup bound.......He's worth a 1st - rrentz
He has 15 goals. 25 pts. Good luck with that. Any GM that overpays for him should be fired.
Lets see who has more points?
Tyler Myers
Derek Ryan
Lars Eller
Hyman
Labanc
ok thats enough.

For a rental...I would take Nash over those guys any day. Gurantedd, if they all get traded...Nash will produce more than them.
Signing long term is another story. - rrentz
Are you nuts ?
Are you on booze?
Haven't the drugs worn out yet?
Pacioretty outscored all but three forwards IN THE WHOLE F*CKING LEAGUE, over the last 4-5 years...... then close your eyes and imagine he did this without having a decent center to help him.
But get used to his name because we can't afford him long-term due to Mr. Not-so-Fantastique handing Price the keys to the Bell Centre and f*cking up the caproom. Pacioretty will sign with the Rangers as it is the team he rooted for as a kid and your GM will be a noob giving him a 8.5M per year contract until the sun don't shine anymore.

You are an idiot. 0% chance. Also Kane does more then just produce points for team, espically in playoffs. He is physical, hard to play against and way better TWO WAY PLAYER. kane will double nash point out when they get traded. nash will play on third line of a playoff team and kane and Pac will play on top two lines. - BigDog912
Ummmm are you talking about Evander Kane? Looked up his playoff performance history http://www.hockeydb.com/i...ts/pdisplay.php?pid=98634
Not saying he wouldn't be a good addition, but you're talking like he has a record of doing well in the playoffs... |

Eh... he scored 8 goals and 4 assists in the last month. That's what he has been doing.

16 goals on the year with 33 points.
I’m not moving a 1st rounder for that. Plus, Pac doesn’t offer up much more to his game than scoring which he isn’t doing much of.
Nash is at least effective on both ends of the ice. |

Injured. Played with a bad wrist for the first two months. Still scored the other 8 goals on a team that is really really bad. Bad as in Maple Leaf perrenial suckage bad.
You won't have to. Some poor schmuck of a GM will and then some more. |

If Chia is on the phone,..... man, I tell you,.... we're gonna fleece that muppet.
RNH for Pacioretty and a couple of lap-dances from Montreal's finest.

Wait... have you EVER seen Patches play?
Not a long time ago, I remember his name being thrown around for the Selke (and still have a solid 2 way game)
Yes he is having a tough season (which happens to many players during their careers) but you can easily tell by the way he was/is playing recently that it is just an outlier. Easy bet on a bounce back season next year, no matter where he plays. |

If the Pens could get Pac for a 1st rounder I think JR would be fired if he didn't take it. That offense would just be offensive. |
