But they (Rangers) don't play in the Central Division. I would take what we have over their team any day. |

I agree with you about Saad having an off-season and bouncing back for a long-term career with the Hawks.
However, for argument's sake would you trade him straight up for either Pacioretty or Galchenyuk? - hpk90
Not that I see any sort of trade happening here but, is Galchenyuk really that good or did he just have that one outlier 30 goal season? He's listed as a center and from what I've read not a very good one. Under water on face-offs and it appears that he's sheltered quite a bit with O-zone starts. I just don't see the fascination with this guy. |

breadbag - DeBrincat may get 25+ goals in the NHL as a very young Rookie and you want him at Rockford? He may actually end up leading the Hawks in goals. For me he is untouchable. Duclair on the other hand seems to have a number of nice attributes but still unsure if he can put them together. That has always been his problem. Often there is lots of motion but little accomplished. EnzoD let’s not trade DeBrincat period. - Z3Hawk
He could've had #20 last game but rang the iron. I like his tenacity as well for a little guy. He got run over last week and went searching for someone to hit immediately after, and put someone on the ice. |

I've noticed this when looking at draft lottery odds. Rangers are white flagging and trying to increase the odds for themselves in the draft. |

He's not good enough to be a C, but MTL kept shoving him there. |

Kyrs was left off team USA three years in a row, used sparingly as a 17 yr old. Elite ability on one area, weak and gets pushed off puck in another area of his game. Does this portend that he will not develop and become a solid NHL dman
Hopefully you read some of wiz comments about the new age fast dmen with their drawback. Wiz mentioned how there are so many on many teams in junior and, in fact, several could go in the Entry Draft round one 2018
So how does one analyze this. Some of these type guys will develop into better than you figured, and some will never get too far. I have mentioned that Chicago has several of these type dmen, or close enough in style throughout their pipeline. I suggested that one of them might make for a very good, sneaky offensive catalyst on a third pair. Play with Murphy if possible. And one of them on a third pair could be traded if another comes along.
Kyrs, Snuggerud, Dahlstrom and AT NHL level if you play the following guys, they are third pair: Gus, Kempny, Probably Rutta because he disdains physical play.
Too early to say much about the two freshman collegiate teamattes Mitchell who is Keith lite or big mean B Hillman. D Gilbert is an enigma to me...what's his style? L Carlsson particularly and Tuuolola - bring them over. Olafsson? Norrel and Raydash are in a numbers game. - jhawk59
For me D-Men have never stopped being D-Men, regardless of what the secondary stat “geniuses” say. Nice if a D-Man can skate the puck out of his end but you can’t do that if you can’t win the puck with aggressiveness in a puck battle. Regardless of their other attributes a D-Man who is not tough on the puck borders on useless. |

Don't ask for it. It's just a picture of his balls with a Hawks logo on them. |

The King.
But also I think they're just going full rebuild mode. |

You traded for Saad to play with Toews. Let him. Them two and Duclair on line one. Cat/Schmaltz/Kane on line two. Hartman/AA/Vinny on three. Sharp/Kampf/Wingels on line four. When Sikura signs and plays...but him in instead of Sharp or Wingels. And just leave the lines alone for a while, win or lose.
Same with d pairings. Keith/Oestrle, Gus/Ruuta and Murphy/Seabs. And leave it alone. |

Bowman can try all he wants, it's not gunna happen. Maybe Bergevin is dumb enough to take both Seabrook and Toews.... |

What do you think the odds are of Nashville getting E. Kane? That + Turris would make them pretty much All In. |

@MarkLazerus
Despite being arguably the Blackhawks' most reliable defender, Connor Murphy is still seeking a permanent spot in the lineup. Story: https://chicago.suntimes....the-blackhawks-lineup/amp …
Laz has been on point lately. No "rah-rah" stories. - JRoenick97
First big Q mistake of the season. Murphy should have been in the line up the whole time. Let him get acclimated to his new team and the system. Nope. The typical Q yo-yo that does nothing but destroy confidence. If they roll with Q next year, you will get the same thing. THIS! Yes its more then Q, but he has no idea how to X/O this roster and change up the D to maximize what he has.
Tonight wont be pretty. 6-1 Dallas. |

I disagree. We will play well and have a lead, then give it up in the 3rd, crushing everyone's hopes. Again. |

Prediction: Toews gets at least 2 points, but ends up a -1 and turns over the puck late in the 3rd for the "winning" goal |
