My inference from that Bowman interview is that he is looking to make trades and possibly sell. I'm shocked he outright said that he will not be a buyer this deadline. Also, very good news that Bowman is so vocally confident that Sikura will sign when his season is over.

2018/19 lineup after Anisimov is traded at the deadline or this summer for a 1st round pick or 2nd+prospect....

I'm hopeful that he does sign Sikura. The kid seems to have all the tools. How that translates in the NHL is another story. I think Stan is playing possum he has to dump salary that is the only way to get back to being competitive again

Why do it with 30 games left in the season and 2 weeks before the trade deadline?

Basically he's telling the fans we can't win with this cast of characters so we going to make a bunch of them available and the teams we trade them to will all overpay with great young players and their #1 draft picks.

I guess he thinks the other GM's won't figure out that he wants to dump players he doesn't think can compete anymore in the 'new, fast NHL'.

I've heard Murphy being paired back with Keith was "strongly suggested" by higher up.

Murphy was originally acquired with the idea to play with Keith... however that concept didn't make it through the preseason.

I think Murphy working his way into the top 4 and Seabrook being bumped down to the bottom pair is the ideal scenario for this team moving forward.
