How do you guys get 600 posts in a thread? - Avsrchamps01
Because we are not bandwagoners as some fans from other teams state. We stay with our team through thick and thin.
We have more pages of posts than the number of single posts on some other teams' blogs. Yet some trolls from these same teams will come here and refer to us as bandwagoners. |

Agreed that they all have to be on the same page. Thought the most obvious example of organizational disfinction was last year when the Rockford coach went public with his rants that the Hawks were hurting Rockford’s playoff chances by being guys up from the Hogs. Dude, your only job was to prepare your players so they would be effective when they were called up.
Most people on this board feel there is a disconnect between Bowman and Q. Maybe it’s not an open public spat, but it is clear — at least to me — that Bowman isn’t getting Q the types of players Q wants and Q is not pushing to use the players Howman gives him.
If these two aren’t completely aligned, then something has to be done to either get them on the same page of one or both of them have to move on. - Spec41971
Great point. I'd add that the AAA club should be playing the same systems as the parent club so that the promotion for a player should be as seamless as possible and the player steps into a system he's been playing/executing.
OrganIzational structure and cohesion doesn't count against the cap or is limited to where you draft. Put together the best off ice managerial talent money can buy overseen by a hockey mind and you get a leg up on most of the league. ..... The simple and worn out cliche comes to mind, "all hands on deck row the same way" supervised by one chief .

A rough estimate, but each playoff home game is worth about $2-$3M to the Blackhawks...the actual gross is higher and the NHL takes 35% of the playoff gate for revenue sharing purposes. - ElkgroveMcD
Q makes 6 mil per for two more yrs so 2-3ish playoff gates will cover that. Of course that doesn't count the salary paid to a new coach or factor loss of regular and season ticket sales.
Just looking at it from a dollar standpoint if indeed Rocky does. ......... Didn't know or had forgotten that some of the playoff gate is shared with the league.

My points to the Hawks are simple:
1. Bowmans need to go
2.Core pieces need to be traded away with full salary including your luver 88
3. Q should not be taking all the blame
4. 7-2-19-20-50 take all the heat for bad games(rightly so) but you cheerleaders NEVER bash 88 after bad games
5. So as a scout I'm giving the honest truth & you guys can't handle it
- Goalie-33
1. Bowman the Younger did a nice job retooling from the first round outs in 2011-12 to give us a team capable of going on a nice 3-year run including two Cups and a Final Four. If we won’t give him credit for 2010, we have to praise him for that rebuild. Bad contracts after that, poor TDL moves, certainly, but he shouldn’t be blamed for the precipitous decline of Toews, Seabrook, Keith (?). He also brought in the youth that at least gives hope for the future. I don’t know if he’s the guy to now do another retool (closer to a rebuild this time, but Rocky and McD need to do a hard evaluation of his future (and Q’s).
2. “Core” (expanded to include highly paid vets) = Toews, Keith, Seabrook, Kane, Anisimov, Saad. Who there would bring value coming back (or is even moveable)? At this point, not Toews or Seabrook; Keith probably, but you’re probablynot going to get a potential top-pairing defenseman back. Kane - yeah - but again, you’re not going to get equal value coming back - he’s certainly having somewhat of a down year, but he’s also certainly still a top-5 offensive player in the league who (at 29) should have several more top years left. You just don’t get equal value back when you move out a star like him. Anisimov - yeah, probably the best opportunity to bring something back, but I doubt it would be a first round pick like some claim. Saad - probably get value back but still young, cost controlled for three more years (yeah, at $6MM, but still....) with a good history before this year - I’d keep him as part of the future.
3. Q shouldn’t get all of the blame - players have to play - and I’ve always put a lot of the responsibility (in this forum) on the team leaders who haven’t been - Toews, Seabrook, Keith, yeah some on Kane.
4. I (and others) have criticized Kane especially recently - I’ve talked about his having scored points now in only 5 of the last 14 (critical) games - no meaningful goals in (now) 9, I think. Don’t go around like you’re Rand Paul on the Senate floor, the only voice in the wilderness speaking truth to power.
5. I don’t know if you’re a scout or not - too many prejudices and agendas for me to take you seriously as one - but you don’t speak the “honest truth” - like all of us, you speak your version of it - valid, but not coming from God. We can take it - just recognize your anti-Kane agenda and use facts and logic more than vitriol and attacks on other writers. |

Hey no problem I respect that . Just that my opinion is the opposite . His press briefings sound like a old record to me ,can't imagine what his talks in the room (when he ever goes in there ) sound like to the core .. - oldduffman
Oh, no doubt, man. That's why I love this board--always good discussions and differing views. |

I wonder what missing playoff home games costs Rocky not to mention season ticket holders who drop out? Not disagreeing with you just asking.
Shovel face raising prices so heavily, my ticket was 27 bucks in 2007/08 and is 80 bucks today, is a detriment as well. - Mr Ricochet
You must be in the 300 level. My seats were the same costs. Lot of season tkt holders are not renewing their tkt's next year. The prices of a tkt will only go 4% next year.. Lowest increase in 10 years. Bad product high prices on tkt's ... Will empty the seats( plus no tax deduction).

Well as of today the HAWKS are in the bottom 10 with a 14.4 chance of a top 3 pick and a 4.3 of Number 1 . A little good news on a sour day . It's not all bad .lot of good teams missed the playoffs last year, and have bounced back with good years now.
So we have to take a year or two to get back up there .Decent draft get the cap under control and the HAWKS will be right back there again .. Also dump the coach .. |

I wouldn't have a problem with Oesterle sitting down for a few games (or Keith for that matter). The last three games have been pretty bad in their own end and just past the offensive blue-line for both. |

Well he's just got to figure out he's a defenseman first. Anytime he loses the puck his first instinct isn't to skate backwards to protect the house. He would be so much better if he understood he's not the strongest skater and always kept 5 opponents jerseys in front of him. |

I think our entire d-group and some of the forwards should take that advice as well. What is maddening is that they are making the same mistakes over and over, game after game. |

Holy crap! Would you all stop acting like a bunch of (FRANK)ing 2nd graders!. You know darn well, he's going to say something to simply get a response. You all look and sound like a bunch of meatheads responding to him. Not only that, but every time you respond to him, we all have to read his rants again. JUST IGNORE IT AND IT GOES AWAY! Yes I agree its irritating, but don't keep it going just to put your two cents in. - Chunk

Justin needs to impose a ban or get a referee in here to ban the troll. He does nothing but degrade the conversation and make this board hostile and juvenile. Goalie 33 needs to be banned and until otherwise I'll be reading/posting elsewhere. Reading through this mornings commentary with that troll is pathetic and not what any of us are here to do. You need to ban him Justin.

Yep and its happening when we have the lead which shows these young players don't have the patience to play at this level yet. Mental mistakes are killing this team. |

Yep, I would love to see Q sit Seabrook and play the kids play for the rest of the season, but that’s never going to happen. |

Guys, just ignore him - or come back at him with reason, logic, and facts.
If you’re leaving because of one trolling poster, he’s won the game. It’s easy enough to skip his missives, or at least not respond how HE wants you to. |

How's Justin going to ban him? Apparently you recommend a life sentence for Goalie 33 yet Alex Burrows only got 10 games. |

I'm not seeing that it's just the young players. yes, they've made their mistakes, but Keith, Toews, even Kane a few times, all turning the puck over at the blue line, or trying to pass through four defenders when there are much better/safer/more direct plays available. I understand that the game is fast and decisions have to be made quickly, but these are not the plays that we've seen them make in the past. |

REALLY If people would just skip his posts and stop responding all will be fine! But go ahead everyone keep justifying 33s existence as to me the responses are by far more personal and annoying than the original post, just more posts that I have to skip reading is all. |
