Well, they have a lease that runs for another 7 years, and as a condition of the deal the NHL made him sign an agreement that he could not apply to move the team for at least 7 seasons, so........... Probably have 7 years, I would guess.

I don't believe the Canes are leaving. The RTP area is a transient area with people moving there from all over. It's a highly populated area with 3 great colleges within 15 miles of each other (we call that ACC hoops yes), and once the Canes get to winning that stadium will rock.

Carolina is no different than Chicago in that when the team sucks the fans will spend that 200 bucks doing something better. Carolina should be better than they are, but it may take another year for the kids to really "arrive".

Now FLORIDA is a team that SHOULD be moving.

Kruger cleared waivers. Looks like he's headed to the AHL.

REALLY If people would just skip his posts and stop responding all will be fine! But go ahead everyone keep justifying 33s existence as to me the responses are by far more personal and annoying than the original post, just more posts that I have to skip reading is all.

WHY do people respond to him OR the Nashville troll? I don't get it. If you don't like him, ignore him and he'll vanish.

HawkinD sent me an IM stating something like "You posted to not respond to the Nashville troll and the next 3 posts were responding to the Nashville troll"...

JUST QUIT responding to trolls and they'll go away.

Love Freddie, but his legend here was way overstated. Kruger was given 2nd line duties in the past and produced ZILCH. He's a PK warrior who fights hard on the wall and gets the puck on the other side of the blueline, surely needed skills, but easily obtained for a third the cost

Yea sadly. Kruger, not that big, has played a tough style for a while now. Not shocked it has worn him down. Kruger is ALL MAN, as a person and player I love his heart, grit and character, but eventually all the best horses are put out to pasture. Carolina needs to continue to develop their youth.

I honestly count Carolina as one of the more disappointing teams this year. I really thought they'd be an easy playoff team.

Yep. I wasn't convinced in Darling. I truly thought the perfect situation for him was as a backup.

You guys got TT from us (for nothing) so it's not like the swinging doors into Bowman's office have not born fruit for Carolina.

Love Turbo.

Kid's still got some growing to do, but he's hit his career highs in points and assists already this year and has been really solid defensively.

Probably be around 20~ goals and 50+ points when the season is done.

Justin needs to impose a ban or get a referee in here to ban the troll. He does nothing but degrade the conversation and make this board hostile and juvenile. Goalie 33 needs to be banned and until otherwise I'll be reading/posting elsewhere. Reading through this mornings commentary with that troll is pathetic and not what any of us are here to do. You need to ban him Justin.

Enzo,
The guy probably just doesn’t put it together properly and just lets it fly, I do the same thing when frustrated like calling some of these guys pu ssies etc. he’s prolly old like me, don’t think he needs to be banned, just maybe take a deep breath before posting, something I lack at times also. This crap is pissing a lot of guys off and Bowman comes out and says sh it like he did last night!

How close to the bottom of the standings do the Hawks have to be to have a shot at winning the draft lottery?
- HamiltonHawk

Man, a few pages back,I spent like a week writing these complicated posts and no one here fights with me, for comments or anything!

EVERY TEAM who doesn't make that playoff gets chances to pick first but moreover they all can get 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc....

Last 2017 Draft, the first year of the new lottery scheme, saw two teams move up to win the first two slotting.
Despite having the best odds to win the No. 1 pick, the Colorado Avalanche will had the No. 4 pick in the 2017 NHL Draft.
The Devils, who had an 8.5 percent chance at winning the lottery, chose No. 1 moved up from No. 5.
The Philadelphia Flyers won the No. 2 pick, moving up from No. 13, and the Dallas Stars get the No. 3 pick, up from No. 8.

If the draft were tomorrow, before Corey Crawford returns, the Blackhawks would be in the #9 slot prior to the lotto balls whirling...if three teams behind them WIN "move ups, they draft #12...if they win a move up, they win whatever slot the move up win is, above #9...similar to the NBA set-up now...if no one behind them wins a move up, and they don't win a move up, the draft #9

here's why I am not around much besides prospects work:

we I go to post a reply, and start typing, many many times now the HockeyBuzz page refreshes and erases EVERYTHING I was typing (up to some point).

I then figure I will try and rewrite and it may happen again...
and the thing is I may hit reply and it could happen after only 30 seconds of typing.

Sure I COULD type it elsewhere and paste it...but that doesn't fit my MO of impulsively know tab calling...

my last post before this erased after 12 second a typing with the site adds refreshing...

and after posting THIS one I was going to answer the guy who said Sikura could make the Canada Olympic squad so temper your expectations...and it was freaking eloquent, and disappeared with the refresh...all of it.

Not gonna retype it...

but no one can say anything about Sikura until we see him in the NHL...how a GM picks a veteran Olympic team has nothing to to do with a thin six foot offensive generator with good both south speed, terrific vision, stick and hands....but I don't try and set water marks for Vesey, Kevin Hayes, DeBrincat, or Hayden, after two or three years...maybe after the 4th year they "NHL scouts I keep reading this this guy is only this or that can actually be close to accurate...
